He'll have Maldanado right there with him, so I expect his race will last one corner.

I'm rooting for Rosberg, Schumi, and anything that forces Force India to be shown on television (preferably good.)

I guess not! I'm hoping that the directors have to show Force India as much as possible because screw Bernie.

WTF McLaren? You stick with the old system instead of risking the new one because it may result in farkups, and you manage to fark up 3 times with it.

King Something: Grosjean just passed Hamilton for P2 in the DRS zone.

Unlike Indycar, F1 Lotus cars are *not* powered by hamster wheels.

Apparently Lotus has informed its Indycar teams that they will *not* receive new engines in time for the Indianapolis test, and the pre-lawsuit paperwork is already being filed, with words like "breach of contract" being thrown around. At this rate, they'll be lucky to even get one Lotus powered car on the grid. Apparently they were 7 MPH slower in the straights at Long Beach.

Still no idea how that Lotus clusterfark relates to the F1 Lotus clusterfark.

----------------------------------

Oh hey, they have to show a Force India! Pesky Di Resta!

UNC_Samurai: And Force India got a whopping 10 seconds of airtime while they were leading.

Five seconds while Paul DiResta passes Vettel on his way out of the pit, and five while Vettel passes DiResta in the DRS zone.

What I can't understand is why it was the left rear on the last two. Perhaps that mechanic needs some more training or something, but I would have expected that they had that conversation last weekend. Is it something other than their desire to retain a separate wheel nut?

Are we potentially looking at 4-stoppers in this race? I'd imagine that most must be 3-stoppers.

More seriously, it is possible the shiat is going down on the highway into the track and we don't know.

Oh FFS, McLaren. You could've been beat out of the pits by a NASCAR team.

2012-04-22 08:46:30 AM
I think that Matchett nailed it just now. They might have a damaged thread on the left rear hub, given that Button hasn't had a single problem during his pit stops and Hamilton has been delayed twice, both on the left rear.

2012-04-22 08:48:17 AM
Vettel enters and exits the pit in P1; in P2 in pit lane for a moment between his release from the box and Grosjean's entry into his own.

What the hell is Rosberg doing? He seems to believe that after he's won one race that he's now Ayrton Senna. Someone turned his aggressiveness dial to 11.

I wonder if Vettel can hear "Turkey in the Straw" coming up from behind him.

Kimi is right behind Seb; we might see a DRS pass in a lap or two.
