Seems like a good beat down would be a more effective solution than involving the courts. People forget we actually had more criminals per capita in the 1950's, but the 50's seems like it was nicer because they gave it a little spit shine in the media and in general. If they found you wankin' it in front of a lady, the police would never hear about it officially. They'd also never find the people who beat you down in the street.
