I was feeling sympathy for the person who was attacked until I read this statement. Then I wondered if both suspect and victim are idiots and maybe the victim brought the attack upon herself. For some reason I could imagine the victim being verbally threatened about a biting attack and the victim responding, "Oh yeah? I don't believe you."

Unless I just got punked by an article.

Was 6 of us walking to the side walk, and this other woman was on the left. I'd say there was a good 1 person gap between us and her. As she walked past us, she said "motherf*ers I will kill you if you get close to me". We were high and talkin about pizza.

I'd say there is more mentally unstable people then there are homeless in SF as each time I visit, seems to find the crazies.

Teeth, knees to the head, punches to the head of a downed person, have all been prosecuted as assault with a deadly weapon. Though not always.

The main consideration is - was the action capable of causing serious bodily injury? Example - Punching a man in the head who is standing up punching you back in a fight is probably not a deadly action. Punching a man's head while he is lying unconscious on the concrete after you have already knocked him out may be deadly assault.

To be honest this bite on the arm probably will be reduced to simple assault, rather than deadly assault.

Also of note, any bite from a person who is knowingly HIV positive can and has been prosecuted as deadly assault.
