Oh, god. The Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority song. A Kappa sang that song to me once in the late 1980s, and there's a little piece of my brain - about 2" in on the back right - that I will never get back. It's constantly playing that farking song. I've actually taught the song to two other people over the years, but they really farking deserved it. But I won't do that to you guys. I like you guys.

I have a cure for songs stuck in my head (aforementioned atrocity excepted, of course). I sing to myself "Notorious" by Duran Duran. Whatever else I had in my head goes away, and yet "Notorious" doesn't get stuck instead. No idea how I stumbled onto this musical panacea, nor can't explain it or promise it will work for anyone else.

/Also, "Itsy Bitsy, Teeny Weeny, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini"
//Sorry

make me some tea: I've never heard of her before, but wow I love this version

My preferred "Just Like Heaven" cover. I could listen to this one all day long.

Any Kate Bush song.

Also I have a weird thing that happens when I hear the first piano notes of ELO's Mr Blue Sky - I end up playing the entire song in my head. It's almost but not quite like Come Sail Away with Cartman but I don't have to sing it out loud.

Love Rollercoaster - either Ohio Player or Red Hot Chili Pepper version
I Know What Boys Like - The Waitresses (e-GAD, I hate that song)
Ah, Leah - Donnie Iris
Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits
Gone Hollywood - SuperTramp
I'm Alright (Theme from Caddyshack) - Kenny Loggins
Kodachrome - Paul Simon
Allergies - Paul Simon w/ Al Di Meola
Jane - Jefferson Starship
Dragula - Rob Zombie

And (God help me)

Funktown - Lipps, Inc. (not the Pseudo Echo version)

Probably the funniest use of Funkytown I've seen

For me - It's usually one of the two kinds of music, County or Western. Stuff I don't enjoy.

mamoru: Mahna Mahna

Yup. That's a good one.

Was at a comedy show a while back. One comedian, in the middle of his gig, stopped talking for about 20 seconds... then said Mahna Mahna... and the crowd's almost instant, Pavlovian response was Dooo Doooo Do Do Do.

We made it this far with getting Rick Rolled? - Say what you want, it's still an ear worm.

As far as Lion Sleeps Tonight - I still hear the earlier version from The Weavers
Can no longer listen to any pseudo-goth-metal without hearing Fishmaster
And for a final word - Albuquerque - go ahead - look at a jar of sauerkraut with yelling 'Albuquerque!'

My life has changed in oh so many ways,
It's hard to trust anymore,
Thought maybe I'd get a maid,
Someone to keep my house cleaned, fix my meals then go away.

Dwight_Yeast: Refreshments - Banditos

You prolly have to be the same age I am. Hell, some mornings, I wake up humming this song, much as I don't like it.

That whole album reminds me of the first year my husband and I were together. Our song is "Down Together". :o) I love that album so much!
