I'm predicting a total of 11 goals scored and three match penalties in the PIT-PHI game.

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat: I'm predicting a total of 11 goals scored and three match penalties in the PIT-PHI game.

I'll take the over on goals and under on match penalties. I get a strong feeling the officials will pull the same shiat tonight that they did in Game 4.

Had to chuckle about this tweet from the Boston Globe's Fluto Shinzawa.
@GlobeFluto Tim Thomas making a show of each glove save in prax. Looks like a Holtby imitation. Teammates laughing.

And holy wholesale line changes. Not one left intact.

@GlobeFluto Lucic-Krejci-Rolston. Paille-Bergeron-Peverley. Caron/Pouliot-Kelly-Seguin. Marchand-Campbell-Thornton.

Honestly, with Asham & Neal coming back tonight, I think there's opportunity for early head hunting, leading to early match penalties and then someone else losing their cool late in the game.

If the Torres suspension is not announced before the pitts phil game
then I expect another suspension worthy play in the phil pitts game

How about Crosby skating up to the head linesman and popping him? Just to set the tone...

At the least it will be interesting.

I find myself having to explain to non hockey fans how what Carkner did to Boyle
was okay.. they seem to think he should be charged criminally for assault, I explain it like this

Boyle was punching and bullying Karlsson during game 1 .. hes one of their best players & a rookie!

In game 2 Carkner challenged Boyle to fight but he backed down hence Carkner pummeling Boyle in the head three times and then 5 shots to the body.

Boyle broke the code that hockey players play by.

A 1 game suspension was appropriate.

Their response was usually "I don't believe that is true"

I then offered a dozen examples..with the most popular being Claudes hit on Draper breaking his jaw and then getting suckered a year later by McCarty cause he wouldn't fight and also Moore head hunting Naslund, Bertuzzi challenging him but refusing to fight so he gets suckered and then smashed into the ice

At least it carkner/boyle was not nasty like those 2 examples

I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't know Torres' length of suspension until after tomorrow's Coyotes-Hawks game. Shanahan HAS to get this one right or people will be calling for his job.

Headed into Chicago for an event, may have to stream on mobile.

The sacrifices we make for our kids...

I'm getting amazing empanadas out of the deal, so I'm somewhat mollified.

Go Rinne!

Go Preds, go death and destruction in the other one.

I want to believe that the Wings can did deep and win tonight but I just don't see it happening. Who the hell knows what's going to happen between Pittsburgh and Philly.

we're getting a good look at newish playoff goaltenders for the next decade
Holtby, Quick, Rinne, Anderson, Elliot, Smith

Halak should be in there too. Just because he's injured doesn't mean he wasn't part of the best pair of goaltenders in the league this year. :p

ESPN story says Hossa is not traveling to Phoenix for Game 5 (not a shock) and the league won't announce how long Torres will be banned for until tomorrow.

I'm putting the over/under on his ban at 7.5 games total.

For all you Hockey Farkers that enjoy your cheap booze, most notably Smiths, and a good story from time to time, Drinking the Bottom Shelf is a good away to pass a slow afternoon at work.

I'm taking the over, but I'm sure I'll be wrong. I'd like to see 10 games at a minimum, but realistically think it'll be 4.

Spin the wheel!

Gonna avoid the wings game in hopes they win.

Looking forward to the possible lulz-fest that could be the flyers game.

My prediction for Neal: 'you goan get r*ped'

Time to put the skates to their throats tonight and end this thing. I mean that metaphorically of course but I won't be shocked if a Dirty Bird does it literally.

C'mon Philly, make the Penguins cry.

Didn't realize Quick was a product of my alma mater, UMass, so I have another reason to root for the Kings.

I also realized how many former Habs are on the Preds... So now I don't care who wins that series.

Go hockey!

Pittsburgh 3-2 over Philly. That's final, not after everybody's first shift. Also, zero major penalties.

/I'm never right about these things, but we'll see.

I have a depressing thought for Wings fans.

Tuesday might have been the last time that Lidstrom stepped onto the ice at Joe Louis.
