Wow. The sad thing is, you can't tell if it is satire or real. I don't know if it is the genius of the author or the pathetic nature of the candidate and his party.

Why shouldn't I be able to punch you square in the face? Just give me one good reason, and I'll knock the bleach right out of your hair.

Free Wood Post drives people INSANE.

It seems like every week some totally unbelievable article about conservatives get greenlighted on fark, and 1/4 of the thread is people who believed it beyond all reason. Remember Reagan voting for Al Gore in 2000? That was a great thread.

Loved this from the comments below the satirical article.

It really IS propaganda! It's a farce, set to soil the name of a woman who never said any of this. 10,000 fb shares. People who repost before they read the fact that it was posted on a spoof site. Meant as a joke that is spread as truth. Infuriating.

I would bet dollars to donuts that this woman has read and resend tons of those intellectually disingenuous FWD FWD FWD anti-Obama email posts we've all seen examples of.

The fact that reality borders ridiculously so close to satire with the GOP these days is the real joke here.

Free Wood is satire, but it's a very special kind of satire. The humor (if it can be called that) is derived from the folks that actually think these stories are true.

Yep, I was a victim of Poe's Law, however its sadly believable with the Genius quote about "Men needing to be the breadwinner" in Wisconsin in light of equal pay amendment.

/Watched that Louis CK routine again recently, and really wanted to use that phrase.

I'm hoping EWS won't realize it's satire and will come in here to try to defend Romney from the evil libs.

Yes, it is a satire site. Yes, it is also very easy to believe that this is real.

Al Gore, hell Reagan voted for Obama in '08 and is going to do it again in 12, because after he died he up and moved to Illinois.

It's pretty much what my grandparents thought. It was their more enlightened view, subsequent to "we wouldn't have all this unemployment if women weren't going out and taking men's jobs." (They somehow maintained this view after my dad left and my mom had to re-enter the work forice to keep a roof over our heads.)

Whatever, dude. If someone had a greenlight of a parody article written against Obama, would it still be cool, would it still be satire? Because there are plenty of people who would find the parody Obama articles 'entirely believeable'.

A site like this works when the absurdity is real. This ain't it.

Do you seriously think this is worse than greenlighting Fox News articles? At least the parody site has a disclaimer.

Most women don't take jobs because they 'have' to. Most women take jobs because it feeds their ego and gives them spending money. and they quit when something feeds their ego better: Children.

For men, it's the reverse, Men get jobs so that they can pursue and win women. When we have kids, we work harder (we don't drop out of the workforce and we don't call in sick when they're sick).

You mom was upset because she didn't keep your father sexually gratified enough to keep him around. I bet she didn't love you enough to do the one thing that she could do with a minimum amount of time and maximize her time with her children. I mean, I'm sure she could have made BANK on her back if she'd had the guts for it.

If Obama is a parody, what does that make the GOP line-up? A sick rape rape joke with a blown punchline?

CSB time:

I live in the heart of the Lord's Country, so I get about 4 radio stations: 2 country and 2 Jesus/gospel stations. Last week I was listening to some preacher's wife down in TX lecturing on the idea of submission to husband. She wove this incredibly detailed narrative about how she was on this lecture circuit in TX doing seminars on submission, and how one of her lectures required her to go out of town for the afternoon. She was planning on driving to the lecture and then driving back that evening, but as she was leaving, her husband jumped down her throat for not having packed an overnight bag. He demanded that she not drive at night and instead come back in the morning, and the wife began to argue with him about it. The argument basically ended with him saying that they weren't going to argue about the issue anymore and that she was going to do what he told her. Ashamedly, she agreed.

Fast forward to the next morning. Preacher's wife was driving home and it began to rain. As she was driving, another car tried to pass her and sprayed her windshield causing her to lose vision. Immediately after this happened, the tire on her SUV blew out, so she pulled over to the side of the road. She put on her hazard lights and began to call her husband, when out of nowhere a stranger appeared and offered to help her change her tire. The stranger stated that his wife went to her sermon on submission the night before and recognized her vehicle, thus prompting them to pull over and help.

Moral of the story (according to this preacher's wife): had she not submitted to her husband's will and drove home the night before, she would have died; ergo, submission to her husband was the reason she is still alive and thus proof positive that God demands submission. I shiat you not.

Not funny, but it is really good at outing people who want to believe so badly in negative things about the GOP that they can so easily be taken in by this.

same as how Madow fell for that christwire hoax that was so obviously not true. maybe Madow didn't have the google installed yet.
