karnal: I am saying that I still believe that Ayers helped co-write "Dreams"

WHY do you believe it, then?

Blind faith is not a good reason for anything.

but because very few politicians can string a paragraph together without help.

That's your proof?

Never claimed to have proof....that is your cry of defiance.

You said that the book was ghostwritten by that old Weatherman Underground guy, that implies that you have proof of this.

What is the proof you have?

2012-04-20 10:45:46 AM

Brubold: Step 1 - Attack Romney for old story his wife told about putting the family dog on top of the car for a road trip.

Step 2 - Watch as the plan blows up in your face because Obama told an old story about eating a dog as a kid in his autobiography.

Step 3 - Throw a foot stomping tantrum like a bunch of whiny little girls.

Dude, even PETA thinks you are stupid for equating torture of animals with eating of animals.

karnal: That argument does not even hold water....all one would have to do is visit a library or turn on a television to see that is untrue. But that is the fire you (and so many others) are fanning....you believe class or racial warfare is the only way to bring about change.

So, where's your proof that the book was ghost-written?

Or are you saying that Obama wrote it himself, now?

I am saying that I still believe that Ayers helped co-write "Dreams" but not because, as Doc Derp said, Obama "must be a puppet for smarter white men who write his words for him" but because very few politicians can string a paragraph together without help.

The last president who wrote his own speeches was Woodrow Wilson....
Mark Twain was a ghostwriter for Ulysses S. Grant.
On and on....

There is no shame in it....unless you lie about it.

So who Ghost wrote his stuff?(him being a poltician and therfore borderline illiterate):
upload.wikimedia.org

Oh and unless there is a massive consipracy that dates back to when he was running for Senate, I'm pretty sure that the fact that Obama writes many of his own speeches is true. Back when he was running a distant 3rd in the Democratic Primary for US Senate (and the Dem nominee was seen as nothing more than a sacrifical lamb who was going to be slaughtered by the dynamic, Charismatic GOP up-and-comer Jack Ryan); I had a law professor who bought a table at one of his fund-raisers and invited his students along because he admired Obama's message.

I went and I was blown away as his speaking ability and obvious intelligence, many of the rhetorical styles and cadences he used that night he continues to use to this day

(and I honestly said to fellow student as we left that night "If America was the country we pretend it is, that many would be running for president instead of having no shot at becoming senator; what a shame)

For shiat's sake, some idiot Republican Senate Candidate in West Virgina compared the holocaust to smoking ban on National Holocaust Remembrance day. It's like they invite it, for crying out loud.

Not at all.

It says so right there in the title

"Dreams from my Father" by Barack Obama

I have proof he wrote it. It's published.

What reason do you have to doubt that proof?

With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chill peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy). Like many Indonesians, Lolo followed a brand of Islam that could make room for the remnants of more ancient animist and Hindu faiths. He explained that a man took on the powers of whatever he ate: One day soon, he promised, he would bring home a piece of tiger meat for us to share.

I told you all that he's a Secret Muslim Dog Snake Grasshopper!

so it begins...

"Well check this out, bodyguard, you're fired," Palin said during an interview with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren. "I hope his wife ... sends him to the doghouse -- as long as he's not eating the dog, along with his former boss."

I read that last bit in Liz Lemon's voice

No, I don't believe things that have zero proof.

This man, Obama, and his blood lust for dog meat is sickening. Can you imagine the number of labs, golden retrievers and collies that he has had shipped into Sam Kass's kitchen for slaughter.

Obama feasts on dog meat souffle, BBQ dog, dog stew, deep fried dog, all while the rest of us try to carefully eat the way Michelle tells us.

If he is re-elected, we must demand that he stops slaughtering dogs.

So - do believe that human beings are the only instance of intelligent life in the universe?
So - do believe when the body dies so does any concept of "I"?
So - do you believe in dowsing? the human soul? OJ is the real killer?

The next book the Republicans ought to read is Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose. There was a whole lot of dog-eating going on during the Lewis and Clark expedition. Dog was considered good eatin' and it was a fine day when they could trade a few trinkets for a native dog or two.

Shaggy_C: Angry Drunk Bureaucrat: Everyone knows the proper way to serve dog is strapped to the roof of the family car.

Between Romney Roofstrapper and Obama the Colliemuncher, who is the candidate for those of us who care about the well-being of animals?

Obama didn't behave in a cruel manner, unless you are a vegan because eating meat is inherently cruel. In that case, yeah there's never been a presidential candidate for you. Plus, a lot of vegans ate meat as children because that is what their parents fed them. Obama lived part of his childhood in Indonesia. People eat dog there the way we eat chicken or pig. I, personally, find that gross, but I friends from India who think it's gross that anyone would ever eat a cow.

So, to sum up, we have a man who, as a child, ate a meat that was culturally common for the area where he lived. Then, we have a man who, as an adult, strapped a sick dog to the roof of his car after the dog had already been really sick traveling on top of that very roof. You may decide that both, neither, or only one of these men mistreated an animal. For me, it's pretty clear.

Maybe you're too young to remember the National Organization for Women looking the other way while Clinton's history of sexual harassment and infidelity was exposed. Or maybe you're just choosing not to remember their hypocrisy.
