Guys like him are why I drafted Santana second this year in fantasy baseball, and Napoli the same last year. (Nap was gone by the time I got my second pick.)

Yea I found him autodrafted on my team and got rid of him by week 2... 1 hr isn't worth a .100 BA with no walks. Sorry dude.

How bout Marlon Byrd's .075 average. Thanks for producing so the Cubs can trade you for prospects.

I can't mention his batting average if I've never heard of him.

Anytime I watch a Sox-Jays game I briefly think his name is Aaron Sebia, and I wonder why the announcers constantly say his full name

Wow. A Blue Jay mentioned in a fark headline?

The Mayans were right.

No worries; I can safely say there was an infinitesimally small chance even before your head's up that "JP Arencibia's batting average" would be a topical point of discussion anywhere at my workplace today.

We got Travis D'Arnaud in the works. Hopefully he'll be the future star catcher for the Jays.

Its sad that his first game was the most memorable. 4 for 5 with two hrs I think. I still like him over what we had before Buck got there. Too bad we couldn't keep buck, maybe he'll come back after the marlin's thing lights up for him.

At this point in time a turnip might have better stats. So im going to agree that Travis will be starting next year.

J.P. is my favourite player on the team, based solely on his personality, but even I agree that it's D'Arnaud's job in 2013. Maybe even by August if this awful batting average sticks around.

/was really hoping we could trade Arencibia for assets come the deadline

I think Pat Borders can still swing, let's sign him.

If they pronounced it properly, no one would think that.

Maybe Ernie Whitt would like to pick up a bat sometime.

Blue Jays announcers say "air-en-SEE-bee-ah". Everyone else (including the MLB 12: The Show video game) say "air-en-SIB-ee-ah". It's weird.

Because if there's one thing we know, it's that his performance through two weeks is conclusive proof of how he's going to play all season.

The guy who had him in my league dumped Arencibia off along with Coco Crisp (a 10th-round pick just three weeks ago) for a package of John Buck and Jon Jay. Talk about buying high and selling low.

the first rule of J.P. Arencibia's .111 batting average is you fon't talk about J.P. Arencibia's .111 batting average. The second rule of J.P. Arencibia's .111 batting average is YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT J.P. ARENCIBIA'S .111 BATING AVERAGE!

What else we knoooooooow is that Arencibia doesn't get nearly enough walks for me in my catcher position, at least not compared to Iannetta. Who was available for free. So there's that.

Why the hell not. Jamie Moyer can apparently still pitch.

Maybe my perception is warped by my league. Mine is 14 teams, and we have to start 2 catchers each, so the idea of Arencibia being cut or Iannetta being available is nearly inconceivable to me. I took Iannetta in the 19th round (263rd overall) and wasn't thrilled about it, but that's what happens in a league of this depth. The top currently available catcher, per ESPN, is George Kottaras. Slim pickings indeed.
