I think, after four years of marriage and another three or four of dating, my wife finally gets it. I got home from the office, and the first words out of her mouth were "do the Rangers play tonight?"

/It works out anyway, she has to finish her term paper, so I get the Fortress of Solitude and endless hockey.

missus is experiencing her 2nd or third playoff season with me, i forget specifics.

she comes to couch at 7:30 and goes "wheel of fortune?" and then looks at me and goes "oh..... yeah, no prob!" and goes to play angry birds on the tablet and cooks edamame.

i tolerate her chelsea lately and other random assorted crap, and i get hockey season. she also knows if the games suck or if i'm not fully interested, we're gonna watch something she wants.

but, since she is a gem, she never hopes the games suck. she knows a sucky game is a moody smiths.

My husband called himself a hockey widow last night. He's a real homer, won't watch any game that isn't the Blackhawks.

The kids suffer a bit of neglec April-June, unless they watch with me. The one who doesn't actually play is the one who watches: he's a stats fanatic.

There's something wrong with a person that won't watch every game of the playoffs. It's. The. Playoffs.

I don't care who your team is, if they're in or out. You watch the playoffs in their entirety. Period.
