(WISHTV)   Three men file suit against the producers of the TV show "The Bachelor" accusing them racial bias. Producers say the charges are ridiculous and it's total coincidence that in 23 seasons they've never had a minority lead   (wishtv.com) divider line 7

The producers should be forced to make the next bachelor black - the complete lack of public interest might kill off that POS for good.

LesserEvil: I_C_Weener: 23 seasons? That's a lot of desperate bored housewives.

23 seasons? Really? WTF? Didn't this show just debut in 2000 or something?

Yes, but it airs pretty much around the clock because production costs are so low. They cram in 2 or 3 "seasons" a year.

mattharvest: Tatsuma: If white people want to make movies about attractive white people who date a bunch of people, so farking what?

I personally am going to sue NBC and How I Met Your Mother, definitely the fact that the gang has no close friends that are minorities whatsoever is clearly an indication of disgusting racism in the media.

Well, while this lawsuit sounds dumb, the difference is that the Bachelor is ostensibly a game show, i.e. more akin to Jeopardy than Seinfeld. If a show holds itself out as 'open to the public' but in fact only is open to one racial segment of the public, then it could concievably be a violation of civil liberties.

And it's supposed to be a so-called "reality" show. That after 23 episodes hasn't had a black bachelor. Certainly not reflective of reality.

Not that my angle there is something you can sue over. But it's insulting to black people and thinking people alike.

Have any of the women suitors been black?

Should then white people file suit against Flavor of Love?
