Republicans... You're stupid.

I'm telling you this because you don't seem to realize that you're stupid and you keep trying to spread your stupidity to others. You need to stop. Just because you were raised to be stupid doesn't mean it was right to do to you and you certainly shouldn't be trying to do that to others.

imontheinternet: This one slipped under my radar. How the hell do you teach anything if you can't mention sexual reproduction?

Welcome to Biology class. God did it. Class dismissed.

That's the entire science curriculum for evangelicals because it is much more important to believe things than to understand things.
If understanding might get in the way of believing than understanding things is immoral.

I assume the internet exists in Tennessee? That means the kids will find the following about sex:

1. Get some constructive information about sex (YMMV)
2. Get some misinformation about sex (YMMV)
3. Get some propaganda about sex
4. Rule 34

Have fun out there trying to figure out which one you found.

Don't Troll Me Bro!: You know TN, you think this is great because you're sticking it to those libby libs, but reality is you are harming your children.

The nice thing is, in another couple of years, they can point to the rise in teen pregnancies as a sign that their state is full of the Godless, who are bringing the state down.

The obvious solution will be to issue Liberal Hunting permits. That way once the Godless are expunged from the state, then their pregnancy rates will magically lower. And they'll be a dumb ass workforce that will only be looking for subsistance wages, and give a convenient excuse to up the prison industry. It's a great plan if you want to profit from human misery AND try to take the moral high ground at the same time.

It's worse than that.

They're stupid and proud of it.

So it not only bans non "abstinence-centered" sex education, it also creates a cause of action for parents to sue on if a "vendor" is in violation.

What if this resurgence of abstinence knee-jerkism isn't knee jerk at all; what if it's deliberate? An attempt at creating a trove ignorant dependents through a population explosion of the next generation? Isn't that kind of the subtext of the Quiverfull movement: to advance the cause of Christian evangelism through sheer numbers?

/also education institution = vendor?
//education's not a goddamn falafel

A proposal that would ban the teaching of any type of sexual activity in schools is headed for a House floor vote.

Teach: "Now all you need to know kids is to abstain. Abstinence is the only way."
Student: "What exactly are we supposed to abstain from?"
Teach: "I can't mention that. Just don't do it."

I think that's the point. Just another part of the right-wing conspiracy to replace human knowledge with religion. And I wish I were exaggerating.

Ignorant is no way to go through puberty.
Just because you don't talk about it doesn't mean they won't do it.

This is what people in TN vote for and it's their kids that will end up pregnant and syphilitic. Democracy in action.
