You know what? Tell Ted Nugent there's a new sheriff in town.

The West Wing love in this thread makes me happy.

It's a real shame when a writer or musician you really like goes and outs themselves as a vile human being.

Good thing I always thought Ted's music sucked ass.

They are going to find Ted's stash of illegal full auto weapons.

Pants full of macaroni!!: UNAUTHORIZED FINGER: This confirms my suspicions. Skinnyhead is Crustypants!

Nah. If he was, he'd be telling everyone to suck on his gun.

So he just wants crusty pants.

I thought they were all attractive.

I don't understand why people get so worked up about what some dumb, cowardly pedophile says.

\Other than the Secret Service, that is. I totally get that.
\\TN doesn't have the balls to actually do anything about it, though.

Come on down and hunt in my swamp Ted. A puss like you wouldn't make it out. Unless you are too much a puss to wade in like you were in Vietnam.

"Put in the poop shoot for once, dear. Tired of having all those kids run around"?

I interpret that remark to mean Ted thinks the President is going to have him killed or locked up. Presumably to save us from his 2013 tour.

SkinnyHead: JusticeandIndependence: Because there was no threat to investigate in the first place. The DNC and Obama campaign have launched a partisan offensive to try to portray what Nugent said as a threat so they can tar Romney with it. By making a public announcement that they are investigating Nugent (for something that is clearly not a threat), the Secret Service has abandoned the appearance of impartiality and has joined forces with the Obama campaign.

When did this happen?

I read it in the article. It says: The Democratic National Committee and Obama campaign have launched a multimedia offensive against Romney over Nugent, demanding that the presumptive GOP nominee disavow the statements of his high-profile supporter.

If the Secret Service really took this as a serious threat (which is highly unlikely), they should investigate in private. There is no need to make a public statement. The only reason to make a public statement is to lend credence to the partisan offensive launched by Obama and the DNC, and to intimidate political opponents of the president.

Skinnyhead, put the bong down.

Crotchrocket Slim: Gonz: Crotchrocket Slim: though the worst that will happen when you threaten him on Fark is the NSA spends the next six months reading your emails and listening to your phone calls*

*Only being half-paranoid these days.

No, in the past, Farkers have had personal visits, especially as a result of Photoshop contests. This was, oh, 2003 or so.

I must have just missed that, I started my account late that year.

Any arrests? Was it for partisan stuff or general Farkish antiscocial shenanigans?

Sorry it took me so long to respond, and, sadly, I don't remember many details. The gist of it is that Drew confirmed the Secret Service stopped by, and he basically said "sure, here are all the logs."

Here's the only thing close to proof I could find. Mind you, I put, like, zero time into it.

"Yes, the Secret Service does read Fark, and some Farker actually got a visit from them about something they posted about 6 or 7 months ago." - From 2002

Silly Jesus: Most people seem to be annoyed by the blatant trolling of SkinngHead, but I think that it's often hilarious. I L out loud at his posts more often than not. They are usually pretty subtle with one hidden clue that they aren't serious. The GED in Law was a perfect example, yet people still took the bait and responded, as they are doing in this thread.

You guys will all disagree with me, but I think that the guy is a trolling genius. People that clearly know he is a troll get so annoyed that they end up posting serious responses anyway. I've never seen anything like it before.

I can relate.

The Homer Tax: Am I the only one who can't read stories like this without thinking about that sketch from "The State" where the teacher was trying to teach everyone about how you're not allowed to make threats against the president, even in jest...and then every time someone did exactly that as part of the discussion, a group of secret service agents would rush in and haul them out of the room?

Just me?

"The State" was so good...

Ahahaha....no, you are not the only one. :)

SkinnyHead: Diogenes: SkinnyHead:

You've officially hit rock bottom. Sorry that responding to threats against the President don't fit your twisted partisan moral.

Mr. Nugent was within his First Amendment rights. He did not make any unlawful threats against the president. It is inappropriate for Obama to use the secret service to intimidate political opposition.

If you don't think what Nugent said wasn't an implied threat then you are either very naive or disingenuous. Either way you should replace the word skinny in your name with dick.

Hey Now! There's an implied threat! Replacing his head with his dick.. that would be fatal!

Back in the 80's I saw Nugent in concert and it was a hell of a show. Before he lost his mind or at least before he felt the need to actually try to say much publically, other than "Hello Sacramento! Are you ready to rock?" Of course, that was before I spent 20+ years in uniform and developed a mind. I volunteered for the uniform, of course. These days I have nothing but contempt for chickenhawks (or leering old men who prey on teen girls, deadbeat dads, Fox pundits.....) so I have trouble enjoying "Great White Buffalo", a song I used to crank up when it came on. Fark off, Ted. You ruined your good old songs for me.

Last I remember this tool ever having any music career he showed up to play my hometown in a 12k seat arena. Attendance was so bad that they eventually just opened the doors for anyone to come in for free. I remember this well because he played around the same time that Iron Maiden came to town. Some interview he basically trashed bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Funny now how they can still tour around the globe selling out large stadiums and old Ted has to basically threaten the President of the U.S. to stay relevant.

I use to kind of think a few of his songs were OK, but now I just can not hear him as it reminds me what a complete jackass douchebag he has become. WTF is up with all these hard rock/heavy metal guys that become ultra conservative douchebags? Nothing more con-formative and anti-rebellion which is ironic considering that their lives were spent supposedly "sticking it to the man" and being all rebel without a cause B.S.

2012-04-19 06:24:52 AM
I know someone who said of the president when a recruiter was trying to get his brother to join, "Someone ought to shoot that SOB". After the SS tore his house to pieces "investigating" he was very sorry he said it. They probably can't get him for making threats, but they can make him sit bricks.

Is George Zimmerman a president? Why should the Secret Service investigate that?
Plus, last I checked, Georgie Blart: Mall Cop Applicant is under the protection of dozens of armed jail guards.

Nothing wrong with being conservative or right wing, however, being insane just isn't funny any more.

The scariest part of this whole deal are the brain dead drones in the crowd standing there nodding while he's saying all this shiat.

Mark my words, some right winger is going to go on a shooting spree when Obama wins this fall.

Hmmm. He was cleared today by SS. Right after the Obama clowns fired their SS buddies.

SS Agent: Ted, we concluded our investigation. You're cleared.
Ted: What do you mean? "cleared of wrongdoing" or "cleared hot"? both?
SS Agent Umm, well ... they didn't say. Let me check with HQ. All sorts of weird decisions happening after the hooker party.
minutes later
SS Agent: Definitely just the first one. The legal thing. The second one is bad. we don't need that. HQ was very clear on that. Oh, and by the way, great party last night. The hookers, booze and blow went a long way in getting you cleared. If I hadn't been awake for the last 48 hours straight, I'd have never finished it. We need to get you a protective detail.
