2wolves: Silly Jesus: Most people seem to be annoyed by the blatant trolling of SkinngHead, but I think that it's often hilarious. I L out loud at his posts more often than not. They are usually pretty subtle with one hidden clue that they aren't serious. The GED in Law was a perfect example, yet people still took the bait and responded, as they are doing in this thread.

You guys will all disagree with me, but I think that the guy is a trolling genius. People that clearly know he is a troll get so annoyed that they end up posting serious responses anyway. I've never seen anything like it before.

Deliberate trolling is against the FArQ. Are you claiming that the "Powers That Be" countenance such behavior? Those of us who've had a slice of that $5/month taken away might just be a tad irritated.

Let me know when you get your image posting privileges permanently revoked due to trolling a troll, which sounds impossible but is actually very easy to do.

Thankfully, the list of people who, dead or imprisoned, would result in a better quality of life for everyone around them is not large.

And yes, they would all answer to the term "funidcon".

Someone loosely tied to the DNC points out that the wife of the GOP Presidental candidate is a housewife and has never had paid employment: Media shiatstorm

Someone who is a high profile GOP supporter with a fan base makes a statement at a political event that if Obama wins then he'll do something that will land him in jail or get killed trying... I'm sure the media will be all over this to ten times the extent of a non threatening comment about a spouse not working.

I must have just missed that, I started my account late that year.

Any arrests? Was it for partisan stuff or general Farkish antiscocial shenanigans?

'Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.'

United States Constitution, Article 3, Section 3.

Just saying.

I'm not sure what people like SkinnyHead get out of doing this. It seems like a giant waste of time. I also don't understand why if he is a known troll/alt that his accounts aren't locked?

Mods like some controversy here just to keep the convo interesting, though there isn't quite agreement on what sort of trolling if fun and games and what sort of trolling is completely unacceptable, flame at your own risk.

That's because "troll alt" is a term made up by scaredy dims. They can't face the fact that 0barry is a failure as a president and human being, so they slur us conservative posters to marginalize us. The moderators know they can't ban honest, hard working for simply presenting a point of view no matter how shocking the truth may be to some ivory tower elitists.

For the same reason that there is no longer a waiting period between creating an account and posting.

/assuming that's still the case

SkinnyHead: Diogenes: SkinnyHead:

You've officially hit rock bottom. Sorry that responding to threats against the President don't fit your twisted partisan moral.

Mr. Nugent was within his First Amendment rights. He did not make any unlawful threats against the president. It is inappropriate for Obama to use the secret service to intimidate political opposition.

A: He made threats against the President.

B: Regardless of WHO is President, these things result in Secret Service investigations.

C: There are limits to your free speech rights: You can't shout 'Fire!' in a crowded movie theater, You can't make public statements about someone that aren't true(It's called 'slander'), you can't joke about bombs at the airport, and you can't make threats against the President's life.

D: The Secret Service initiates its OWN investigations.

E: I learned this all by my sophomore year in high school. Either my podunk little high school was more exceptional than anyone ever thought, you are a complete retard, or you already knew this and are just a lying bastard.

F: And yes, they WERE threats against the President.

The Homer Tax: Am I the only one who can't read stories like this without thinking about that sketch from "The State" where the teacher was trying to teach everyone about how you're not allowed to make threats against the president, even in jest...and then every time someone did exactly that as part of the discussion, a group of secret service agents would rush in and haul them out of the room?

Just me?

"The State" was so good...

Aaaaahhh! I remember that!

Such an awesome show.

SkinnyHead: I read it in the article. It says: The Democratic National Committee and Obama campaign have launched a multimedia offensive against Romney over Nugent, demanding that the presumptive GOP nominee disavow the statements of his high-profile supporter.

If the Secret Service really took this as a serious threat (which is highly unlikely), they should investigate in private. There is no need to make a public statement.

I'm struggling to find either of the words "Secret" or "Service" in the part you quoted. Maybe if you take a bunch of letters (I highlighted them for you) and rearrange them...

Are you sure you haven't confused a news story with the Word Jumble on the comics page?

This just in: Ted Nugent is an idiot.

Ehh
2012-04-18 04:12:50 PM
I remember reading a firsthand account in a small zine about a visit from the Secret Service that a woman received because she used a toy gun to make zapping sounds (kinda like Ed McMahon saying "hey-oo") during a local political TV show. Somebody called the Secret Service and claimed she was making threats. Sounds ludicrous, right? They saw the show and noticed it was all very much not serious, right? Well, they came and interrogated her anyway.

2012-04-18 04:23:36 PM
Serious question : Ted Nugent has remained in our pop culture despite a pretty lousy musical career.

Why him and not the dude from Foghat, or Kansas, or any other one hit 70s wonder?

Bloody William: Why is a man who admitted in an interview with High Times that he shat himself to avoid going to Vietnam a conservative mouthpiece? I honestly don't know, but I'd like to. Why?

Did any conservatives go to Vietnam, I guess Oliver North and Colin Powel.

Meanwhile Democrats in Vietnam
Kerry

Bob Kerrey, oh is that a MOH reciepant.

See here Skippy, there is a difference between what you call "treasonous comments" and actual threats. WHen you learn that distance, you are welcome back at the grownup's table. Until then, go over in the corner and play with your blocks.

Gotta love THIS comment regarding the whole 'pants full of poo' story. He claims that he made it all up, and to show how "brave" he REALLY is, he points out the fact that he went on a farking USO tour of Iraq and Afghanistan. Wow, that takes balls, I guess, when the people that you are surrounded by actually WENT to war, rather than try to dodge it...

When questioned, he admitted that he had "not wanted to get his ass blown off in Vietnam," but made note of a tour he made with the USO in 2004 to Fallujah and Afghanistan as support of his assertion that "I am not a coward."
