He's annoying, but he's no Ryan Leaf.

Tee-BOOOOOOOOOOO

The drunken, neanderthal New Yorkers were just trying to say "Tebow".

You know, like "CAAAAAWWWWW-fee" or "farkoffanddiewhileIfarkyourmother"

It is "The Yankees win! THAAAAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAH YANK-KEES WIN!"

It is freaking John Sterling and that is his thing.

Tebow is a very talented football player. He is just not a good quarterback(on the pro level). The sooner he converts to a full time tight-end/hback, the sooner he get on with his very productive professional career. Pride is a sin too.

I like the dude just because he and the rest of his team beat Rapistberger and the Steelers.

Unless he does something like "pull a Jerry Sandusky", I won't be a hater.

Why I can't imagine why a bunch of Giants fans would do that.

LeroyBourne: Did Skip really say he's the most polarizing figure in sports? Does Vick have to strangle a few more dogs or eat live kittens to regain that title?

I believe you missed the point of the word polarizing. People like Mike Vick, Ben Roethlisberger, Sean Avery, or Kurt and Kyle Busch aren't polarizing because they don't have adamant supporters to counteract their detractors.

Meanwhile people like Tebow have equally fanatical supporters and detractors. Which makes him more polarizing. Tiger Woods is pretty polarizing, but he doesn't have a vehement a support base as he use to have. Rafal Nadal is also polarizing, but he doesn't have anywhere near the amount of detractors.

Generally polarizing is something that you'll reserve for a political figure like Obama or a public personality like Oprah, Bill O'Reilly. Maybe even an entertainer like Charlie Sheen, but sports personalities generally don't have such wide public appeal as to cause strong defense or opposition.

I guess in a manner of speaking, pro-wrestlers are the "most polarizing figures in sports", but that's because they are scripted to be polarizing.

From noon until three in the afternoon the sounds of booing came over all the land.
About three in the afternoon Tim Tebow cried out in a loud voice, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

2012-04-17 01:02:46 PM
I think Tebow is a tool and gets way too much credit for what he has done but I wouldn't boo him. I mean what the hell.

I don't hate Jesus. I don't even know the guy. What I dislike is what so many people choose to do in his name. I also believe he was just a man, not the product of a holy gang-bang on an underage virgin.

this is just another example of brobama's war on christianity. when will u people wake up and see what are commu-facist prez is doing to our freedom? when u can't even go to a baseball game w/o seeing intolerance towards chrustians something is really wrong with this country. not like the days when reagan was our prez and people respected G-O-D's USA, the flag, and the constitution [written by the founding fathers who...btw...were christian!].

I see lots of Steeler fans but not as many Roesthlisberger fans. I could just be in the wrong threads though. Point still stands, those two fit the definition of polarizing just as much as Tebow.

Yes, because religion has never been mixed with sport before. Koufax never sat out a game in deference to Yom Kippur, no one ever knelt in prayer before Tebow started genuflecting, and certainly no athlete has ever thanked a divinity for success in sport. It took a Tebow to blend those two utterly unconnected realms.
