Best lines were " I got hit by a car and still look this good!" and "see these? They are real boobs" and "I could be getting brains farmed right now!"

Glad they got that menace to society off the streets!
Is jaywalking a gateway crime that leads to things like murder? Shouldn't it be a ticket rather than an arrest?

Haha I used to work in that detention center in the 90s. I was there when they filmed a scene for Showgirls.

And I have a feeling a bit more happened than just jaywalking

Judging from the video...it appears drugs and/or alcohol may have been a factor....

I'm sure they have better things to do, and I'm sure that jaywalking isn't a jailable offence (though I'm pretty sure it's arrestable). My guess is that the real reason was D&D, but they're trying to be nice to her by not putting that on her record.

She is going to be a big star. She likely to play the crazy woman in jail on tv for the rest of her life.

Well jaywalking isn't a jailable offense, now what could have caused the detention:

resisting/obstruction
drunk in public
refusal to sign the summons
mental subject
refusal to identify

The guard there said it was only for jaywalking so apparently it is.

Massa Damnata: who makes video's of stuff like this?

Las Vegas Jailhouse is a TV show.

Google gives this description: From the producers of COPS, cameras capture the intense situations going on within the walls of the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada

First of all, I am in love.
Second, I really hope she is not in jail for just jaywalking. Nobody puts my new baby in the detention center.

I know reality show stories are scripted, but I didn't know the script was scripted too - I'm talking about the scene right at the end, where the two cops are walking down the hall. That was so bad it took my hatred of reality tv to a whole new level.

Most of the women throwing punches on the Jerry Springer Show are indy wrestlers.

this, or downtown on Fremont Street.

tickets for jaywalking are a great fundraiser for the city/county plus they give cops the excuse to run your info to see if you have any outstanding warrants which could lead to even more money.

Glossing over WHAT she is saying, she could be the hottest looking girl in the world and I would walk instantly just from that obnoxious accent.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

But seriously, I've worked on the Strip for fifteen years, and I've seen pedestrians get away with stuff that would make your head explode. I've also seen pedestrians get chewed up and spit out by passing cars. And now it's getting worse because of the texting while driving ban. People are holding their phones in their laps now so nobody can see them text, and we've had a record number of pedestrian deaths this year because of that.

I'm afraid to cross the street some days.

Yea, we recently got the texting laws too. We refer to it as the 'Put-the-phone-in-your-lap-while-the-cop-passes Law'.

Didn't this woman have to sign a release for them to show her face on television like that? And she agreed???

Do you ever get used to moron tourists? I guess that's a simplistic question, but it seems like you'd get burned out pretty quickly.

Jaywalking is arrestable but if I remember from glancing at the show someone said she was drunk in the roadway causing issues.

The TV show is from the producers of COPS. If you've ever seen COPS, you know how many people willingly sign releases.

That's a fair question.

I'm looking for work right now, but if I was offered a position at a Strip casino again, I don't know if I would take it. The casinos here will give you all the guest relations classes you can eat, but they never give you any help trying to cope with what the guests do to you. When I first started working in casinos, the guests were usually very nice people. But when they started that "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" ad campaign and combined it the lowest room rates ever, it was an open invitation to every moron to come visit and stay awhile. And it's been getting progressively worst every year.

My last casino job? There was a lot of violence, acts of debauchery that Caligula would've found questionable, and I watched a couple of nice young men get themselves killed when they tried to 'surf' down the pedestrian bridge elevators on two different occasions. I really don't want to go back to work on the Strip and see how much more stupider the guests have gotten.

If some Farkers feel like helping this old Farker leave Las Vegas, gimme a call.

They're just trying to earn a buck. Jobs are few and far between here. And even if you get one, maybe you get 24 hours a week. If you have some change when you pass by these guys, be generous. They're going to be outside when it's 120 F all day long.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that they are bringing money and paying for my neighbor's house, and that when I'm on the strip it's their playground. As long as there aren't whore houses or weekend rental party houses in my area I'm OK with all this.
