(Huffington Post)   Tea Party speaker: "We will not be silenced by f*ggots." Clearly this is a tea-party colloquialism that somehow relates to economic issues. Perhaps he meant "Keynesian acolytes"   (huffingtonpost.com) divider line 503

bobbette: So, the Tea Party is literally celebrating the career of a man whose advocacy has not just led to legislation that would make homosexuality punishable by death in Uganda, but has resulted in the targeted violence and murder of Ugandan gay activists.

Lively is a farking scumbag, but anti gay sentiment and attacks on gays in Uganda were going on long before he took his ministry to Africa.

If the Tea Party ever stood for small government and fiscal responsibility, it does no longer. The movement was hijacked by social conservatives, racists, and morons years ago.

I agree with the following assessment...

keylock71: F*ck these Teabaggers... They've been regressive, radical social conservatives from the beginning. Anyone who thinks otherwise is being willfully ignorant.

From the very start, the Tea Party has been a radical socially conservative movement. To argue otherwise is sheer ignorance. These patriots didn't give a flying pygmy fark about taxes or big government until January 20th, 2009. That's just their excuse for their reactionary butthurt to the ni-bong in power.

Hell, their stupid farking name alone outs them as the hypocritical, mouth-breathing troglodytes that they are. They're "Taxed Enough Already" at a time when a.) taxes are lower than ever and b.) they willingly vote to extend tax cuts for the uber-rich so that the budget can be balanced on their own backs. If that wasn't enough, their own bullshiat slogans out them for the morons that they are - "fix old no new?" "Keep government out of my Medicare?" For fark's sake.

Yes, the Tea Party is the putrid swan song of a generation on the outs but goddamn if they're not a wart in the ass of the Nation. They need to go the fark away.

TFerWannaBe: If the Tea Party ever stood for small government and fiscal responsibility, it does no longer. The movement was hijacked by social conservatives, racists, and morons years ago.

THIS!

I went to a couple events in the very beginning, and we had a good mix of libertarians, fiscal conservatives, and even a few democrats that leaned to the right fiscally. It was great, people were generally friendly and we were able to discuss different ideas with respect. You could take your kids, there was more of a party feel. Sure they're were a few idiots, but they were in the minority. And anyone who got out of line was chastised by the crowd. Hell, even the far left counter protestors were treated well. And the few cops who were there were obviously relaxed and chatting with people in the crowd.

Then the social conservative took over. The damn posters with aborted fetuses started showing up. The speakers went from a fairly wide range of people and positions to only ultra conservative. And instead of being welcomed, opposing ideas are shunned. The friendly party like atmosphere is gone; replaced with a strong undertone of anger, and hate. Our local group is now consists of ultra social conservatives, those who whisper about violence to shut down abortion clinics. Those who see socialism and communists around every corner, and those who think conservative republicans are really liberals. In short, the group that has hijacked the tea-party label is a bunch of radical, racist, nut jobs.

Of course that's my experience in my neck of the woods. Different areas may have been, or may be completely different.

That statement usually shuts them down. Because they did technically exist when Bush was holding down the economy while Cheney had his way with it but almost no one heard of them and they definitely were not as loud.

That's a strange stance for the tea party to take. Why would they feel threatened by a bundle of wood used primarily for feeding fires?

I am late to the party, but is there any video of this being said, or is this another fake claim by the professionally offended, being parlayed into outrage?

I stopped watching the vid in the article after 5 minutes, is it in there later on?

Eh, the 'Tea Party' prior to FOX jumping on the bandwagon were weird Founding Fathers cosplaying idiots who honestly believed in a scorched earth libertarian stance. They were two wet dreams about Hancock beyond libertarians. FOX jumped on the idea and promoted them as some kind of catch-all term for all the disgruntled idiots on the right (rather than a very specific group of disgruntled idiots), which led to their current hilarious status as a retard stew.

These Tea Party assholes are the biggest little girls I've ever seen. They whine and biatch about everything and get scared over such ridiculous conspiracy theories that the UN wants their guns or that somehow anything that benefits society is socialist. They're pussies compared to the gay community, just little girls who are frightened of anything the right wing echo chamber tells them to be scared of.

They'll lose. Why? The Gay community has demonstrated time and time again they can fight against the forces of ignorance and stupidity. The Tea Tards will lose. Mainly because, as the Boobies or so said, the young generation simply doesn't give a shiat. We're more concerned with making an economic future for ourselves and our country; not fighting against basic rights for a sizable group of people.

A lot of us non-Teabaggers warned the Republicans back in 2008 that if they didn't throw the racists and bigots out of the Teabag Party when they had the chance, they'd end up associated with them in everyone's minds.

Well, looks like we were right. Congratulations, GOP/Teabaggers, you've got a publicly racist/bigoted movement embedded in your party, and apparently you're OK with that.

Seriously, the only people I ever hear refer to "fags" or "faggots" are gay dudes riffing on each other.

I imagine after this guy let loose with his little tirade one gay dude in the audience rolled his eyes and purred to his buddy, "My God, will you get a load of her."

I would suggest that those Tea Party critics take a look at some of the things that their TAX MONEY has been paying for in the public schools. The "Fistgate" tapes. The "Little Black Book". The annual taxpayer sponsored "transgender" events for kids, where kids are brought to mingle with adult men wearing women's clothes, and adult men involved with S&M and other interesting behaviors. The "anal sex" pamphlets and material given to kids at state-sponsored events. And there's a LOT more I could mention, but can't really without making a lot of people sick.
