I hope this is a the start of a war between GB and France. They always have the best wars.

She can handle my pistol any time.

2012-04-16 09:54:16 AM
And the photographer will be paid off and won't press charges and Pippa will come home and get a stern talking to by the Royal Family board of directors and she'll be away from the spotlight for a year and a half before coming back with some new beau who is of good lineage and does lots of good works for the poor.

2012-04-16 09:54:59 AM
She is related to the future Queen of England. Do you believe any charges will be filed against her?

2012-04-16 09:55:33 AM
I'd point my gun at her, if ya know what I mean, and I think you do.

2012-04-16 09:55:54 AM
so, basically, she's responsible for the actions of the others?

Bullshiat.

I'd file a charge on her, if ya know what I mean, and I think you do.

As she left with a group of three male friends, the man in the driver's seat jokingly aimed the gun at a French photographer.

Harry has got to be sporting a major hard-on right now.

2012-04-16 09:57:01 AM
Even though I agree with the writer that waving the gun around was incredibly stupid, how the hell do you justify locking up all the people in the car? They're small, it wouldn't be hard at all for one guy to have it hidden and the others to have no idea. France, you're just being a-holes about this.

2012-04-16 09:57:20 AM
So even being in the vicinity of someone exercising their inalienable human right of self defense can land you in prison in France. When I read farked up things like this it really makes me appreciate being lucky enough to have been born in the US.

How do you "jokingly" aim a gun at someone?

I see you've never spoken to a Frenchman.

Well, considering waving around anything gun shaped is a bad idea in the US, I can't figure out why those dummies thought it wasn't a bad idea in France. Expected them all to surrender maybe?

Now, to find my way into whatever womens prison she'll be going to. Provided she actually does at least.

You're always assuming I know what you're talking about. I'm sorry friend, you're just going to have to be more obvious in the future, if you take my meaning and I believe this to be the case.

Not really relevant, but it made me think of this joke:

An Englishman, a Frenchman, a spectacular looking blonde woman and a frightfully awful looking fat lady are sharing a train compartment. After several minutes of the trip the train happens to pass through a dark tunnel, and the unmistakable sound of a slap is heard. When they leave the tunnel, the Frenchman has a big red slap mark on his cheek.

The blonde thinks - "That French bastard wanted to touch me and by mistake, he must have put his hand on the fat lady, who in turn must have slapped his face".

The fat lady thinks - "This dirty old Frenchman laid his hands on the blonde and she smacked him".

The Frenchman thinks - "That dirty Englishman put his hand on that blonde and by mistake she slapped me".

The Englishman thinks - "I hope there's another tunnel soon so I can smack that French twat again".

Not sure if trolling or if stupid.....

a) even if there is an inalienable right of self defense (sic) that doesn't mean you have the unconditional right to own guns
b) even if you have the right to own guns, that doesn't mean you have the right to wave them at people who aren't threatening you

Don't know about the French legal system but in the UK you'd really struggle to charge someone with anything relating to the gun unless they had willingly got involved in a crime where a gun turned up, e.g. if you go on a robbery and somebody else on the robbery brings a gun with them then you can face charges relating to the gun even if you didn't know there would be one.

I'm guessing that the Express is desperately misrepresenting the likelihood of Pippa getting jail time in order to sell a few more newspapers......

/sarcasm meter might be broken, apologies if so

This is their way of preventing their own imminent surrender.

Rule 1: Never wave a gun at a paparazzi. Always steady your aim and squeeze the trigger before the paparazzi takes a photo.

Rule 2: If you shoot one of them, be sure to shoot all the others present also.

We'd have a lot better news reporting (in any country) if reporters were more about the investigative journalism integrity thing, instead of just a bunch of goddamn snoops.

2012-04-16 10:10:42 AM
At least he didn't wave a pack of Skittles at the photographer, probably would have gotten himself and Pippa shot.

Especially given some tensions between the UK and France vis-a-vis the behavior of French photographers and the royal family. Let's just say the Windsors wouldn't be too averse to just shooting them all.

I'm sure he's trolling.

For the benefit those not familiar with the US, if you brandish a gun (or even a gun lookalike) in this fashion you're going to get a menacing charge but arrest would likely be the best possible outcome for you. Do it in the direction of a cop or a concealed carry holder and you're going to get shot.

Having said that, over here no way anyone other than the idiot waving it around gets charged.

/Concealed carry permit holder. Idiots like this piss me off, IT AIN'T A FREAKING TOY.
