Then maybe you should go back to the middle ages. Back when the victors also got to rape and pillage and such too.

Well lets try your retarded logic for a minute, so lets give Jerusalem back to the nation Israel recaptured it from... that would be Jordan. Lets put all of these poor 'Palestinians' in the hands of the Jordanians who put them in 'refugee' camps and treat them like shiat and refuse them citizenship... even though over 70% of their population is made up of peoples that identify as 'Palestinian". On the other hand Israel grants those in Jerusalem with full Israeli Citizenship (and voting rights) and allow them to live peaceful life's; and who a majority have already stated they wouldn't give up their Israeli citizenship for 'Palestinian' citizenship... hmmm

NPR did a story a few weeks ago, interviewing both the arabs who lost the house and the jews who'd basically stolen it from them. No bulldozing though, just a plain land steal when the arab family left to visit relatives.

your point?

My point is that you're an idiot.

Being 'attacked' does not indicate who attacked first, Attack: "to set upon in a forceful, violent, hostile, or aggressive way, with or without a weapon" You can still attack after being attacked. So yeah evidently it is you that the idiot... though I perfer the term dumb ass... Dumb Ass

So by your logic, the Japanese were justified in WW2, because the US shot back at Pearl Harbor. Astounding.

I have a hard time thinking that he truly believes that. Or he's being sly and saying it should be Israel's capital because it's Israel's right to make it so, and also simultaneously believe Israel has not right to exist in the first place.

But then again this assumes that Paul cares about either Israelis or Palestinians. He is centred completely around America.

It was absolutely not a 'dead language'. Jews prayed every day in Hebrew, studied every day in Hebrew, wrote books in Hebrew, and anywhere we went we ended up creating a mix of the local language and Hebrew.

The language? We speak the same language they do, and we never lost it.

Kinda dickish if you ask me.

and this is also exactly the position of the other side.

Neither Jews nor Arabs want the city to be partitioned. Heck, even the Arabs who actually live in Jerusalem have poll after poll showed that they'd much rather Israel stayed in control than a divided city.

Or that they'd move to the Western side if it ever came to be divided.

yeah but who is calculating the poll numbers?

I don't wonder any such thing. fark them genuinely. Let them yell and shout as loud as possible so we can all know who they are and whose businesses we will not support.

Tatsuma: 1) Clear cassus belli

Now there I wonder. I don't recall any moment in USA history where a simple massing of troops provoked the other armies to attack us. What if you had held your fire? What if it had degenerated into a victorless cold war? I don't normally like what ifs, and my personal belief is that Israel exists and has existed for decades and shall continue to exist. I can't help but wonder what if, though, in this case.

So now set aside all of the history and all of the supposition. It's meaningless, it's gone. My USA killed hundreds of thousands of natives and drove them from their lands. I hate that fact, but it is reality. Germany killed millions of Jews and drove them from their homes; that's a pretty crappy history, but it's real. Knowing all of that, how does Israel confront the obvious enmity on the ground and convert it into a livable future for everyone? Not just for Jews, but for Arabs and for Druze and for Copts and for Catholics and for Magians and for Animists and so forth. What's the real fix? A hard line in the sand is a call to war. We've been there. We've done that. What now?

There can only be peace when there are two sides willing to make peace.

Polls came out this week, and the overwhelming majority of the PA said that the national goal is the destruction of Israel, even after the creation of a state. "Peace" is seen as just another weapon in the war against us.

As for them being ready for a viable state, 75% of Gazans under 21 and have no professional experience whatsoever. There are similar numbers for the other PA citizens.

Add this to the grip of terrorist groups on the population, and it does not paint a pretty picture for peace, unless there are major societal changes that happen.
