Quite literally. The rest of his article is hidden by various javascripting, but can be found by searching through the page source.

BurnShrike: What none of you cretins are catching is the genius of the message conveyed to us through subtext and spacing. It's a social commentary on the idea that the media is used to telling us what to do and think. He's making a statement about the way we receive our information and how we decide on what to act upon.

His thesis is that you should learn to fill in your own scenarios, ideas, and reasoning. Don't be chained by big media you how to live. Break the mold.

But of course, none of you would've seen that. Oh well, someone's got to be the intellectual failure to make my double-cream whipped mocha.

Why not go over there and tell him that?
Or we could all go over and rape his comments board...
Whichever you prefer, of course.

I like how we made it the most poplar article on the website.

Wow, that's unique. I'd probably laugh and say, "Daaaang! Thanks mom!"

Well... now. Probably not when I was seven, though.

I've been pondering this scenario for a while now.

Should I die, my corpse is going to be dead. It will not live, it will not move, it will not think. Now it occurs to me that my corpse will not be so concerned about my condition as my living body is. You could dress up my corpse in the gaudiest of colors, you could pose my corpse in the ridiculoust of positions, you could do anything to my corpse.

Yet I would not care.

You see, at that point I am necessarily dead. If you're calling my body a corpse, then I'm dead. You can throw me in the creek, you can throw me in the fire, you can prostitute me out like a hooker and it's no big deal. I'm dead, I don't care.

You see those hundred-thousand-dollar services for people who died?? Good God! No, post a parody of me on your blog, and then toss my corpse in the woods. I'm not using it anymore, so it would be an insult to me if you paraded me around like some porcelain doll of yours. Shameful business, that.

JoeJitsu: For those of you too lazy to read the article, the state of Alabama's prepaid college tuition program invested all of its money in home mortgage-based hedge funds, Beanie Baby futures and a couple of Amway distributorships and is now flat broke and the people who paid into it want to have it bailed out from the general fund. I can't tell if this guy is for or against the bailout.

Wouldn't that make it good journalism?

Once upon a time that paper had editors like Grover Hall, who won a Pulitzer for showing the true nature of the KKK. When newspapers die, it's sad. When they turn into this, it's a tragedy.
