For those of you too lazy to read the article, the state of Alabama's prepaid college tuition program invested all of its money in home mortgage-based hedge funds, Beanie Baby futures and a couple of Amway distributorships and is now flat broke and the people who paid into it want to have it bailed out from the general fund. I can't tell if this guy is for or against the bailout.

My parents bought me a burial plot for my birthday. It's in the same graveyard as their plots and my grandparents. Needless to say it wasn't my best birthday present ever.

Why not? You have land to your name, so you can have picnics without people calling the police to kick you out of their front lawns.

To be fair, a guy who has a column called "Just Saying" probably doesn't have any opinions worth reading any way.

Seriously, were "Know What I Mean" and "Telling It Like It Is" taken??

What none of you cretins are catching is the genius of the message conveyed to us through subtext and spacing. It's a social commentary on the idea that the media is used to telling us what to do and think. He's making a statement about the way we receive our information and how we decide on what to act upon.

His thesis is that you should learn to fill in your own scenarios, ideas, and reasoning. Don't be chained by big media you how to live. Break the mold.

But of course, none of you would've seen that. Oh well, someone's got to be the intellectual failure to make my double-cream whipped mocha.
