In Florida, 80-year-old women work as valets?

By having some rich douchebag drive his Maserati into him? TA DA!

But, I actually read the f*cking article.

I could give a shiat about the Maserati, but that is a goddamned travesty if that's a real 356.

I'm kind of curious who is liable for the damage a valet did.

Thanks for actually reading. Love how everyone assumes it's the guy working his ass off for tips that farks up, not the rich entitlement douche that treats $200,000 vehicles like a 4 year old treats his Hot Wheels.

How did the Maserati end up with front end damage like that? Oh wait, it was the car that crashed, not the Jeep.

The owner of the Maserati is likely sufficiently wealthy to have blame assigned to the valet, regardless of actual circumstance.

On what basis? Speedsters go for a shiat-ton of money (imperial).

2012-04-14 07:24:20 PM
so nothing of value was lost in the accident?

2012-04-14 07:29:16 PM
If it had been a Quattroporte GT S, I have been more annoyed. As for the 356, you can get a decent one for $30K, but a speedster is something else entirely. A replica is pretty distinguishable from the real deal. In this case you could tell by whether or not the owner disemboweled the valet with a sorbet spoon.

I can't imagine the owner of a 356 or a GranTurismo S parking that close to any other vehicle willingly.

Dolt. Maserati's are for faux-rich. The owner of the 356 is going to sue the dog-shiat out of that poseur.

You can lease a $200k vintage Porsche?

I lived in Miami for two years. Miamians, be they valets or rich douchebags , can't park for shiat.

In the mid-70s, my wife and I got invited through her work at Dade Savings and Loan to a fancy dinner and concert at a very opulent country club. We arrived in our 1969 1300 model VW Bug convertible to find it was valet parking. I ended up parking it myself as the valet could not figure out how to drive a stick.

Around the same time, there was an art show in Coconut Grove, where we lived. One Saturday morning, we awoke to find four or five Porsches parked in our driveway, blocking our car in. For most of the day. We had had similar problems before, so we were prepared. Out came some 8½ by 11 gummed sheets with the following printed in huge red letters on it:

YOU ARE PARKED HERE ILLEGALLY!

We wet down the glue and slapped them on the windshields, on the driver's side. After several hours baking in the sun, they were very difficult to get off. We never had a parking blockage problem again.

If you have the numbers behind you, you can lease almost an "exotic" car.

Pretty obvious it was the Maserati given the angles of the cars and the damage. Subby's a tard.

Secondly:

SevenizGud: Anyone who spends more than $50,000 $30,000 is a fool.

FTFY.

Lastly, I'm not one to defend valets, but:

Ed Willy: Love how everyone assumes it's the guy working his ass off for tips that farks up, not the rich entitlement douche that treats $200,000 vehicles like a 4 year old treats his Hot Wheels.

This. Maybe it's because I grew up in South Florida and had to dodge the extreme examples of batshiat insanity -- rich douchebags in Fuhrer- and Ducemobiles and fascist exiles in rusted out Tercels -- on I-95, but this whole story screamed "Young bankster who can't control his toy car" from the start.

Judging by the list of cars, sounds like it was a rough night at the douche-bag convention.

Yep. A guy I knew had a 356. Not a red one as in the photo. The only place it was parked was in his garage.

Why do Americans say that they "could give a shiat" or "could care less" when what they clearly mean is that they "COULDN'T give a shiat" or "COULDN'T care less"?

Seriously, it gets right on my wick. Why say the exact opposite of what you mean?

I use "couldn't care less," but I think "could care less" is supposed to be used in a sarcastic delivery so that it carries the same meaning (sort of like "Life should be so bad" and "Tell me about it").

I thought you limeys were good with that stuff?
