I prefer to consume them separately. Pinot Noir goes especially well with Northern Coast Bud.

I was gonna do this when I was making mead, then I moved to a country where it's more dangerous to have weed than a knife. You can talk an illegal knife away, but weed can be up to 25 years. Seriously, what the hell!?

Yes, but what kind of cheese and crack would you consume with it?

In US legal terms, it would be on par with H and Meth in legality.

I know it's around here, but I've never even bothered to look. I can get a gallon of whiskey for $30. What need have I of drugs?

Once you get them drinking they shut up about the wine, but they eat a lot.

That reminds me of an article that was on here a while ago about some clown that wrecked their car after they'd been drinking and taking prescription meds but marijuana was in their system and tfa highlighted the dangers of weed.

I'd pondered it when I was brewing. I was wondering whether I had to simply make the THC soluble, or whether isomerizing it would make it even better and if so, how to do it. I had my brewing chemistry fairly down; my pot chemistry not so much.

Nope, my friends made bud beer back in high school. It tasted weird and we didn't feel the effects of the pot. I think the weed needs to be cooked/headed first.

FTFA, the alcohol in the wine draws out the THC. That makes sense since I soak my pipe in straight rubbing alcohol to remove resin...

I once knew a Mexican gent who made a tincture by soaking Maria Juanita in Everclear for about a month.

He said he applied it topically to his bad knee, and raved over the results. He never mentioned drinking any, but I'd imagine it would make a mean iced tea.

There was a wine called Sangre de Christo that was bottled in the 1800s and it contains 30 grams of cocaine per bottle which is slightly more than an ounce. I saw a bottle in a museum in the old part of Quebec and it was protected by a sheet of window glass. This was inthe early 80s before coke had taken off. I kind of doubt that bottle is there any more.

I seriously considered making "Ditch Mead". Make a cheap mead from supermarket honey and "dry hop" it for a year with some ditchweed buds.

Why not use good stuff?

The reading I've done at various homebrew message boards have all said beer-weed hybrids result in flavor and aroma; there's no "effects" from the herbal component.

I've heard that it's a certain type of fermentation process that will either enhance or negate the properties of the weed. Dunno, don't smoke it and don't brew but know many that do both.

Ah...coca wine. The 19th century's all-purpose pick-me-up and antidepressant. The Coca-Cola guy started his business by making it.

From my experience, weed must be cooked to turn THC into Delta9THC, which is the stuff you want.

Our weed beer didn't give us a weed buzz.

Maybe try cooking the weed before brewing

Back in the seventies, a guy I knew fooled around trying to graft hops onto cannabis rootsets.
He actually ended up with some viable hop plants, but sadly, they produced no THC that was detectable.

There's just not enough alcohol in beer to make a successful extraction. If you want to have liquid THC you have to make a tincture with everclear / high proof vodak.

Good ol' MacArthur for ya.

Meanwhile I have had marijuana-containing beer in Italy. It was a 9% beer too, good stuff. I mailed the empty bottle home (didn't want to risk some TSA guy stealing it from my bag, as it's a pretty cool item).
