Crossroads is the Super PAC, Crossroads GPS is the affiliated nonfrofit social welfare/advocacy organization that can raise money anonymously and can't explicitly campaign for/against a candidate.

Hence why most of their ads are framed as "Tell Elizabeth Warren: No more job-killing government regulations."

They're clearly not doing much in the way of social welfare/advocacy, but the feds have been quite lax in enforcing that rule.

Hey Teatards.

How does it feel to know that the thoughts in your heads have been put there by two self serving greed merchants in order to get you to vote against your own economic self interests?

From my POV it's been like watching a fish swimming around trailing a "Vote for Mrs Paul" banner behind him.

I'm sure that Rove would argue that shouting down and campaigning against democrats is social advocacy. Which is ridiculous and evil, of course, but who is surprised by that.

Columbia (play /kəˈlʌmbiə/; kə-LUM-bee-ə) is a historical and poetic name used for the United States of America and is also the name of its female personification.

The name Columbia for "America" (in the sense of "European colonies in the New World") first appeared in 1738[1][2] in the weekly publication of the debates of the British Parliament in Edward Cave's The Gentleman's Magazine. Publication of Parliamentary debates was technically illegal, so the debates were issued under the thin disguise of Reports of the Debates of the Senate of Lilliput, and fictitious names were used for most individuals and placenames found in the record. Most of these were transparent anagrams or similar distortions of the real names; some few were taken directly from Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels; and a few others were classical or neoclassical in style. Such were Ierne for Ireland, Iberia for Spain, Noveborac for New York (from Eboracum, the Roman name for York), and Columbia for America-at the time used in the sense of "European colonies in the New World".[3]

/from wikipedia "Columbia (name)"

I hate to point it out, but if all the poor people and the middle class actually went and voted their own interests nothing any of these guys spent would matter.

Instead, they pay attention to what media feeds them and vote that way. Media which money can buy. So that's the only reason their money counts.

It's hard to pin large social problems on a whole mess of individuals and their "poor choices." By definition, people do what they THINK is right, and our system keeps them plenty busy enough to not be able to do their homework.

The real problem with saying, "well, if PEOPLE would only..." is that you have to ask the follow-up question: "Okay, so now what?" And there's no answer.

Ergo: let's spend our energy doing something else. :)

Yeah, but there's a difference. With a Republican in charge, they can rape the economy hand over fist without fear of government sanctions. With a Democratic President? They'll have to make money at a SLOWER RATE. It's HORRIBLE.

Obama is a symbol. He doesn't have to do anything except be a better president than the last one. He's a middle finger aimed directly at the fat ugly bastards who are running down this hurting old world.

He's the shoe in the door and he's holding it open for a whole slew of new possibilities that the fat old bastards are terrified of.

You gotta hand it to the GOP, they've done a masterful job of turning the narrative of the financial meltdown and recession on its head.

I doubt very much it was by direct broadcast - here in Seattle we can't pick up stations from Vancouver, Victoria, or even Bellingham (which is located between here and Vancouver). The Seattle stations all re-broadcast over translators throughout the rural parts of the state - you were probably seeing a signal coming from a translator in Sedro Wooley or some shiat.

well on the one hand he has given them the 0bama Tax Cuts (formerly the Bush Tax Cuts)
he also gave them high unemployment in the economy which helps them pay less for labor (supply/demand)

On the other hand he has given us huge increases in debt, high gas prices, and a terrible market for their products.

No, they bring the Seattle stations to Vancouver by satellite I think because they beam the American networks coast-to-coast in Canada and have an East and West Coast feed. The Seattle stations tend to be the West Coast feed for the US networks.
