Pretty sure Investec is the 2012 sponsor

I think they've had two sponsors lately Autonomy for the regular games and Investco for special games (cups and stuff)

Spurs can still do this, just need to get their finishes on target...

Um, nevermind....sheesh.

Welp, Liverpool and Chelsea were going to meet in the league on May 5th, now they're going to meet at Wembley for the FA Cup final.

Still somewhat drunk, way too early prediction:

Torres and Carroll both start the final
One of them scores the winner (smart money on Carroll)

2012-04-15 02:47:02 PM
Somewhat glad that Chelsea at least scored two more goals. If the game ended 2-1, that phantom goal would have made it intolerable.

HANDBAGS!

WWI Flying Ace Scott Parker and John Ob Mikel get into it, and Parker looks like he wants to tear Mikel's head off. Both get yellows, and Scott gets subbed.

And FLORENT MALOUDA makes it 5. See you Blues on the 5th.

Atkinson shouldn't be reffing a park game, nevermind a FA Cup semi final.

What a farking joke. Chelski were handed this on a plate

Cech's was a yellow at the most because he did not go after the spur

give chelsea some credit for making these opportunities.

Story shoulda been Spurs v Chelsea, not Atkinson.

If goal line technology got a major boost because of this, it'd be worth the lost. While I'm wishing for the impossible, I'd like a million bucks too (I'm not too greedy).

Martin Atkinson is still incompetent. Who knew?

A Premier League club lacked any sort of basic sportsmanship. Who knew?

I won't be watching the final.

ADubs86: In other news, Hearts have beaten Celtic on a last minute penalty to set up a Scottish Cup Final derby.

That was never a penalty.

However, Celtic were shiat today. I can hardly complain about being robbed when such poor play was on display for 90 minutes. An Edinburgh derby final it is. Hibs must be aching to crack open the tub of silver polish they bought in 1903 while Hearts could use some silverware to flog down the market to cover players' wages.

Halli: Aren't we being a tad sanctimonious today?

Aren't we lacking reading comprehension skills today?

I specifically labelled the whole Premier League in one go. Chelsea accepted an imaginary goal. I just thought it was incredibly unsporting, much moreso than diving, etc. United would have accepted that goal. So would Arsenal.

I called Young for diving last week. I've called other United players for diving in the past. I hated Cristiano Ronaldo. We're not above cheating to gain an advantage. I've never claimed we are.

I thought the penalty today was 100% a penalty. Sure, he hit the ground flamboyantly but it was still a penalty. It doesn't help when refs won't give penalties when players stay on their feet (see Caldwell on Welbeck on Wednesday).

the usual Farkers here know i condone my Chelsea when they are chippy and stupid.
today was a more the ref's fault than the blues.
the spurs were unlucky and took extra passes at times.
and Chelsea played much better defense at times when they needed a poke, or tackle.
and i though at first the ball crossed the line in the april second, but posted it was not a goal.

Chelsea took the game overall and they seemed the better team overall, but that second goal seemed to take the wind out of them. I wish the ref had called the foul and disallowed the goal--I'm genuinely curious how the game might have ended that way.

Nope but blinkered for not seeing an obvious dive today.

I hope he will get the Suarez treatment from the refs from now on.

Pretty much the attitude which will keep the diving in the game.

he dove, the ball might not have cleared, ref's are not 100%-
but great teams overcome adversity and win the match.

Gotta say, that dive by Young was a thing of beauty. Suarez and Cristiano are gonna have to up their games.

And Chelsea have most definately used up their luck for this season. Shame, Barca are next. They'll neeed to take something to the Camp Nou.

It was against Spuds so its all good.

Right?

Aight then. Although I'd personally have them looking forward to a cup final so they can drop even more points in the league.

St Totteringhams day cannot come soon enough.

Its all we have left. ;.;

You never have to apologize on behalf of other people being idiots. It doesn't matter where they were, or which side of the field they were on, or what color their support jerseys were. They are an embarrassment to civility.
