How did you manage to misspell "relieved" submitter? It spelled correctly more than once in the article.

You accidentally a word in your castigation. Don't you just hate it when that happens?

Okay, applying *facepalm* to myself. Just let me take off my glasses first so I don't smudge them.

In their defense they had been protecting Bill Clinton where this was considered normal.

lol. I have learned to always, always, always, double-check my comments when I'm unleashing the grammar/spelling snark. When in doubt, throw in an error and point to it, you can always claim that a second one was just a test to see if anyone was paying attention ;-)

I worked for an agency from right after 9/11 till a couple of years ago. Most of the upper management was retired USSS (United States Secret Service). Those guys had a very sweet deal. Collect full USSS retirement, and be a GS-14 (low 100s grand a year) on top. Your DHS at work. One guy became my friend. We partied and hung out. He had some fanfarkintastic stories. He was a party animal, but I can't help but think he'd shake his head at the lack of propriety of these agents.

Do you think there's any merit to their claims?

I thought those guys were supposed to check out every nook and cranny.

Three small explosions were reported in Colombia before the summit

Those must be some mighty skilled prostitutes.

This is just one more example of the lack of morality in Obama's America. Just wait if he gets a 2nd term!

12 agents

The dirty dozen?

I was in Cartagena in 2008. The amount of "massage" offers on the beach was insane. They were probably partying on a "Chiva" (open air party bus with a band) No son culpables, jajajajaja. I love Colombianas!

What claims do you speak of? Depending on what it is, I could probably give an educated guess.

OK now it's the guys that are forbidden to chase teh nookay?

2012-04-14 01:46:44 AM
...several of them married

Yeah, but remember they work for the secret service.

It's not like their wives are gonna find out or anything.

I don't think he was even there yet. He was pushing state troopers off of their motorcycles just a few hours ago. I know the president is supposed to be able to multitask but geez.

I knew a guy in college who spoke fluent Mandarin (blue eyed white guy from Texas) and earned money in the summer as translator/tour guide in China for US tour groups. One day he was sitting at the hotel bar between tours when he was approached by Bush Sr. security detail (before he was president) and asked if he wanted to be hired as translator / liaison for the duration of Bush's visit to this city.

He said the first thing the security guy asked him after he was on the "job" was the name of the best whore house in town.

Some witty bastard on another website........

Secret Service pick-up line: "Show me your Oval Office."

This SS thing doesn't hold a candle to when the entire Navy's Blues Angels maintenance team got sent home for throwing a naked pool party with hookers, strippers in a San Jose motel (SF Fleet Week).

Well, it happened before he even got down to Columbia so obviously time travel is gonna be involved.

FTA: A US official said 12 agents had been relieved of duty. The official was not authorised to discuss the matter and requested anonymity.

So it's ok for him to break protocol.

Ha. They always find out.

Right after 9/11, the agents I worked with were rock stars. I was in one of the largest field offices in the country, and you just knew those guys were nailing tail countrywide. Most were in the 8+ percentile lookswise so that helped. One guy had a nutty flight attendant start sending mass greeting cards to him.....at the office. Another sent compromising photos when the agent dumped her. Plenty of marriages broke up, too, in those six years....many of the "other women" were flight attendants.

Anectdotal.

Doubt this was anything new for them if they were this blatant about it. Seems more likely that the reason they got in trouble was that they didn't do it with enough discretion perhaps.

As for creative ways to blame Obama? As I said, probably not new, wouldn't have been new 10 or 20 years ago either if I had to make a guess. As I said, probably just got out of hand and they got too blatant about it.

But as one of the resident conservatives, lets see... I don't actually believe any of these but lets see if any of them come to pass.

1) Some angle with the immorality/entitlement mentality of Obama rubbing off on the SS agents?
2) Played up as Obama running around the world with a bunch of guys that have no respect for women and thus, Obama has no respect for women since he "knew" and "did nothing"
3) Obama's 'tax payer funded' hookers, drugs and alcohol fueled parties?

Next on Hannity: Was the secret service detail actually pre-screening the brothel and the "impropriety" story made up when a pool reporter happened to witness the visit? Is this evidence that Obama is secretly seeing prostitutes during official visits to foreign countries? Records show that the same detail has been with Obama during visits to Thailand, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, and Tijuana. We continue the vetting of Obama that the mainstream media won't do. FOXNews, Fair and Balanced.

When on the clock, yes.

When deployed out of the country and your job is to protect the president of the US, arguably the most powerful man in the world, yes. In that situation, even in your "rack time" you're on the clock, it's a 24/7 readiness type of job.

A little surprising. You don't normally hear about Secret Service agents misbehaving.

For an extra 20 you can relive the duty on a Colombian prostitute.

Federal level cops won't be losing their 20 yr 90% public safety retirement and their $150K a year unless they sell drugs or murder.
