The worst swill you will ever taste. But I'm in college and you can't beat the price

brantgoose: Show me a bottle of beer and I can identify the logo most of the time.

It's usually on the label.

Of course, telling a beer from a white wine is a lot more difficult, but it usually says something like "beer", "lager", "very pale ale", or "white wine" on the label to give you a hint as to the contents of the bottle.

Unless the bottle has been opened, in which case there could be anything in there. Teach your children not to drink from bottles they find lying around the garage or other places where bottles may easily contain contents different from those advertised by the label. Just because it smells nice doesn't mean it is safe. Many chemicals smell nice. I like the smell of gasoline but I don't drink it. I just dab a bit behind my ears and my knees to give me that "old money" smell.

I like you.
That made me larf

CaptainMorgan13: 22 of 25. Never heard of Goose Island or Yeungling. Botched the Bass logo (never liked it anyway).

Yuengling is the oldest brewery in the US and by my estimation, the best.

Dr J Zoidberg: JonZoidberg: 23/25. Never heard of Goose Island and I forgot Tecate existed since it's flat terrible. I'd rather go back to drinking Mickey's.

17/25, we don't have Yuengling where I live so I had no clue. Couldn't quite get the name for St. Pauli Girl right, never heard of Bass Ale, Dogfish Head or Beck's

I'm from Texas, live in Louisiana now and I've never seen Yuengling here ever, and locals haven't heard of it. I just did a lot of business travel to the northeast and with (good) business travel comes pub crawls. I don't think I've ever had it from a bottle or can, but I came to like Yuengling draft and wish I'd get sent back up to Pennsylvania more often.

eraser8: I missed:

Landshark Lager
Boddington's
Goose Island
Fat Tire

Also, of the beers in the game, my favorite is Beck's.

Fat Tire? C'mon, man! The logo has a picture of a bicycle with big fat tires! It was a giveaway! :0)
But I do agree: I like Becks! It's simple and clean without being weak and watery.
Too bad it's an import and costs more $$$ than it's really worth.

25/25 in 2:30 seconds. Got Hung up on Corona for some reason, or I would've been done in under 2 minutes. I thought the Corona was Carlsberg for some reason.

Answer 4: Guinness or Harp are both acceptable because they both use that in their logo.

In a blind taste test one of the highest rated lagers was Big Flats, a beer that Walgreens makes and sells for $2.99/6 pack

There's always St. Arnold's, Rahr, Franconia, 512, Live Oak, and Real Ale. They all have a variety of offerings.

I like Shiner's standard Bock but the rest of it is good or bad depending on the year. Their christmas seasonal is one of my favorites but I understand why some people don't like it.

25/25.

Aside from Guinness, Newcastle, Dogfish Head, and occasionally Sam, the beers on there are terrible.

I'll never understand the love for Yuengling. About the only thing you can say for it is that it's cheap and (unlike Budweiser or Coors) at least has the decency to not taste like anything. It's like buying a Chevy Aveo and being proud that at least it's not a Kia Spectra.

I get together with friends and have a few every now and then, and I've sweated ethanol during a lot of morning business meetings on the road, but at home a 6 pack can last me months. I don't drink like I used to in college. Shiner is good, but the one I've bought most recently for home drinking is Pacifico. In a frosted mug it's quite refreshing.

This is a good thing. Both of them can fark right off as American beers can do without those two sluggards giving the US brews a bad name.

tell me about it. it didn't fully develop until after college, so at least I was able to cheap drink through my days in West Lafayette. But now, half a beer and I start to get congested, hot and red faced - a full beer and I'm done.

Also, having my go-to drink as Vodka means I am drunk faster than my beer drinking friends and have to pay at least twice as much (normally more than that, stupid Chicago bars)

Haha, this was going to be my exact same post.

I actually did have a fairly good idea on Stella Artois and Tecate, but, I couldn't exactly remember the right spelling on those. Sierra Nevada I also recognized, but, couldn't remember the name. A few others I recognized the logos, but, couldn't put the name to them.

Dogfish Head looks like a microbrew, maybe I'm wrong.

Oh no, I agree. I'm hoping Heavy Seas becomes a lot more popular. My favorite beer of all time has to be Loose Cannon. I took my wife to a Heavy Seas dinner at Granville Moores in DC for our wedding anniversary, it was amazing. The first beer the gave us was a bourbon barrel ale at 10.5% for the first course, and the session beer was 8.5%. There were 8 courses, noone left that dinner sober.
