Thanks. I married a librarian, Netflix would be redundant.

It strikes me that Rorschach and Ron Swanson represent the two sides of the conservative coin, rather than being all that similar. Rorschach is a social conservative and an authoritarian. He sees the libertinage and greed in his society leading to its doom. Ron Swanson is an ironic tax libertarian who likes big steaks and cigars.

Just do yourself a favor and skip over most of season 1 (it's awful) - watch maybe the first two episodes to know the basic premise then go directly to season 2.

Feels like twice as many because they're excruciating to watch.

Once whathisname... Mark Brendanawicz... leaves and Adam Scott & Rob Lowe show up, it's literally a thousand times better.

I agree. First time I started watching, I got through about 6 episodes. It was a few months before I started again, but the second season and on kept me hooked until I caught up completely.

The entries featuring Swanson dialogue inserted into the comic panels were far superior.

I have not seen more than half of the first episode and don't remember him much. But I have seen this quote and the scene where he orders it. I love bacon and eggs to a degree that I have to admire this character a lot and may just check out the series on Hulu again.

Though just straight up skip Season 1. It's pretty self-contained, and you'll be just fine without it.
