F*ck this, I'm switching to the Hawks game. Let me know when Galiardi scores the game winner.

I also love asking people who say they are from Detroit what suburb they are really from.

Nice... "oh you are from detroit? Livonia, Northville,or Plymouth?"

To be fair... I'm from the west side of the state and when I say I am from michigan somewhere outside the midwest people are like "oh, detroit then?" and to prevent a long explanation i just say yes.

What was really fun was all the idjits from royal oak and northward claiming they were hardcore downtown detroiters....

soopey: Sobotka was an excellent soldier for the Bruins. Glad he's an impact player for the Blues.

And you know for all the whining that we do about great players not playing for our team their entire career it's kind of cool when teams come to play your team and you hear all these familiar names.

Dennis Wideman made some really horrible plays for the Bruins at times, but there were other times when he was the only one on the ice trying to win.

I don't have to deal with Fox Sports AZ anymore. But when I did live there, there was no extended coverage channel. Don't know if that's changed.

I'm currently streaming the game and its the FSN-Arizona channel so it is broadcast somewhere...

Hm. Surprised they had enough to cover in AZ to justify "extending" coverage. Whatever. Not my problem anymore. :D

On a related note, welcome to the great state of Michigan then!

Oh, hey! I always like running into other Michigan farkers.

I like to do this with people who say they're from Chicago too.

Oh, sweet! Welcome to Michigan! (I've been here 9 months, I can say that now, right?)

You aren't all too far from a truly delightful little microbrewery in Plymouth.

Thanks! We spent all of our free time here for years anyway, year round. Love it so much.

This Halak vs. Niemi battle is spiking my blood pressure. Could be the theater-size box of Sprees I've been chowing on.

How? Atlanta is not likely to resurrect a team soon.

As long as Doan is playing for them ... Yotes = Winnipeg Jets

bottsicus: keylock71: bottsicus: hulk hogan meat shoes: Wow. Wideman was beaten badly there.

That's what he does.

Lol... It's funny 'cause it's true.

When he left Boston, I said "good f*ckin riddance", but, it's actually kind of nice to have him back, for the next 4 games or so...

I like Wideman... But boy has he made some stunningly stupid plays in his career.

Double OT in the very first game of the playoffs for the Sharks?

Are they counting on me being young?

Speaking of which, did you see any of Blake Wheeler this year in Winnipeg? I caught maybe 5 or 6 of their games this year, and in three of them he was maybe the best player on the ice...between both teams.

2012-04-12 11:00:12 PM

Silvara: My god. Double overtime on the first farking game. This might kill me before I get to see the rest of the playoffs. Niemi was INSANE.

I wonder when the last time it was that two playoff games went to OT on the same night?

(I'd google it myself, but I've been drinking since 6:30 ET)

Killer Cars: Silvara: LadyBelgara: Well, it's kind of an...off...night. Not as many people into the teams playing tonight.

That's a little odd considering who's playing.

Not necessarily; for whatever reason I've never seen a particularly large Rangers fan base here on FARK, but I've always seen plenty of Flyer/Penguin/Canuck fans....as well as Flyer/Penguin/Canuck haters.

Sorry, sorry, we will do better next time.

I shall reiterate the earlier image for now:

Liberty street brewing co. Right in old town Plymouth. Sooooo good. Best pumpkin themed beer I've ever had, and their other stuff is just as good. Got a selection of growlers I picked up last time down there to help me through the first week of hockey. The clementine lemon thyme is quite refreshing and inebriating

Listening to Thomas trying to answer Pierre's stupid questions is hilarious. You can see the thought process.

"...what the fark did he just ask? How the fark do I answer that stupid ass question?"
*Spits out some neutral hockey answer* "Don't ask anything else. Don't ask anything else..."
"Can you take us through that last play?"
"GODDAMNITSOMUCH PIERRE!"

I think in that entire 20 minutes, 17 of it was spent in the Shark's zone.

Just watched Tim Thomas's post game interview with Pierre McGuire. McGuire asked him about the save he made and how it turned into the game winner, and Thomas's answer was essentially: "Sorry, I blacked out."
