Whatthefark: It happened in Florida. It will go on for months with frenzied 24/7 coverage.

Of course; what was I thinking?

2012-04-11 03:19:24 PM

Spindle: There is no way they will be able to prove his guilt beyond a shadow of a doubt to a grand jury.

This case is not going before a grand jury. Just a regular one.

mr lawson: Raharu: Most people understand this isn't about race.

Lol...WUT?

As a community activist and chief of staff for the New Black Panther Party, Michelle is used to addressing many issues. But when it comes to her passion in the Trayvon Martin case, she get especially upset and tearful.

Michelle said during the interview, "Let me tell you, the things that's about to happen, to these honkeys, these crackers, these pigs, these pink people, these ---- people. It has been long overdue. My prize right now this evening ... is gonna be the bounty, the arrest, dead or alive, for George Zimmerman. You feel me?"

You DO realize the New Black Panthers are a pretty tiny, insignificant hate group, right? The only reason anybody's even heard of them is because Fox got their panties in a wad over two black guys standing near a polling place and leaving when asked.

So charge him with stalking too. Now he was engaged in unlawful activity.

Yeah...except that it doesn't fit the crime of stalking.

Replace stalking with any one of a number of things that fits. Didn't think I really needed to explain the idea behind the comment.

i carry one chambered in .40 IWB, a little bulky but a great choice

Mrbogey: I hopes he runs.

Consider theres a bounty on his head and the DOJ refuses to do anything about it, he's a dead man if he spends any time in a jail.

It is not all black people in jail. Might seem like it, but that is not exactly accurate.

Nah, it didn't happen in Los Angeles. We riot over everything here. HOORAY THE LAKERS ON! WE SHOULD RIOT! BOO THE LAKERS LOST! LET'S GO BREAK SHIAT AND LOOT! THOSE COPS WERE AQUITTED! DESTROY! BURN! THE COPS ARE TRYING TO ARREST A GUY! SMASH!

TXEric: It will be involuntary/aggravated manslaughter, or at most 2nd degree murder. I think a Grand Jury is the only body that can return a 1st degree murder charge.

Correct.

2012-04-11 03:20:41 PM

Raharu: I'm pretty sure you're the only person hoping for that to happen.

Most people understand this isn't about race.

Sadly some people keep trying to make it a racial issue.

You certainly are. I never indicated a word about race in my post but you certainly do.

Zimmerman's got friends in every town and village from here to the Sudan, he speaks a dozen languages, knows every local custom, he'll blend in, disappear, you'll never see him again. With any luck, he's got the grail already.

Didn't he get lost in his own museum once?

And that's fine. I don't think George Zimmerman (dammit, I wrote Martin again!) intended to kill anyone that day. He just wanted to play cop and feel like a badass. Of course, how much of a badass are you if you successfully shoot and kill someone who doesn't even have a weapon?

Poe's Law, but, have you even been to Mexico? White people don't exactly stand out there.

Has there been any information that has come out about just how hispanic he is, for lack of a better way to say it? More than just being half by blood. Does he speak Spanish? Does he have relatives in Mexico? From his perspective there's a national lynch mob after his ass, I bet he's already deep into Mexico if he has the language ability and right connections.

At least in Cancun in Spring time.

I was kind of being sarcastic since the dude is not "white".

Half black half white...black

half hispanic half white...White?

He is only being called white for the powder keg effect it brings with it.

No one would ever see George Zimmerman on the street and think theres a white guy.

spiderpaz: Silly Jesus: It'll be manslaughter.

Hung jury.

Yep. There's not enough evidence to dispel reasonable doubt on his defense. That's why there weren't charges in the first place. The onus of proof is on the prosecution. But they're going to have to hold a trial anyway because there will be riots otherwise now that the media has stirred up a hornets nest.

You may not like our legal system, but you'll appreciate it if you're ever accused of a crime you didn't commit.

Yep, this is the only way out of this without more people getting killed. Throw up the lowest charge knowing that it probably won't stick. Still looks like you tried.

OR

When they return with not guilty, there are mass riots.

It's just amazing how you know how someone else felt a month or more ago. It's like you can read his thoughts or something!

Does a sidewalk count as a weapon?

Yes, I think it does.

I prefer the following:

"Listen, people - do you have any idea who you're dealing with? This is George Zimmerman. You are two days behind the toughest target you have ever tracked. Now I want everyone to sit down, strap in, and turn on all you've got. That would mean now."

Why would we lose if a guilty man is being charged for his crime?

Thunderpipes: I assume people will remember this when a black guy does something wrong and some white guys want his head?

Courts are now run by the mob, and the personal feelings of the President.

Oh. I guess by "we all" you just meant pathetic, racist pieces of shiat like yourself.

I don't think that's necessary. This is the more important segment, I think: "A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked..." I doubt whether Zimmerman will get to stand his ground if he's the one who started it.

What if he doesn't want to use those lawyers anymore and has someone else in mind? For all we know his lawyers were suggesting he plea out if it ever comes to facing charges. Maybe the lawyers just wanted to get their names in the papers by attaching themselves to him.

I don;t think its as damning as people make it sound.
