9beers: Get ready for riots when involuntary manslaughter charges are announced.

Why? Are you and the rest of your mob gonna riot because you never wanted this to see the inside of a courtroom?

This is going to be a thread that will go down in Fark history.

9beers: Charged with involuntary manslaughter - Riots
Found innocent - Riots
Found guilty and sentenced to 5 years - Riots

The mob is getting that new flat screen TV one way or the other.

At the risk of breaking my own rule and feeding the troll, who the f*ck is this "mob" you're always referring to?

Thunderpipes: Justice system has just been dismantled, nobody wins here. Courts are now run by the mob, and the personal feelings of the President.

Because Zimmerman wasn't able to kill a kid and get away scot-free, the justice system has been dismantled?

How do you know the prosecutor isn't just scrupulously following the law?

blackminded: Real quick though: Any Farkers want to make a recommendation on a Sig Sauer P229 chambered for .357SIG as a concealed carry weapon?

/I'll check back later

I prefer the Glock 27 (chambered in the 40 cal)... and I have a CC Permit... Fits perfectly in my IWB holser...

Shoot anyone drinking iced tea, better safe than sorry.

Gee, when do the riots start after the mob doesn't get 1st degree murder charge with the death penalty?

I heard his dad was Bob Dylan.

dammitall, you beat me to a bob dylan joke by about 30 seconds! his dad's name is robert zimmerman...first time i heard that i immediately thought of dylan, since that's his real name too

ShamWowofDamocles: The hell you will. He's got a two day head start on you, which is more than he needs. Zimmerman's got friends in every town and village from here to the Sudan, he speaks a dozen languages, knows every local custom, he'll blend in, disappear, you'll never see him again. With any luck, he's got the grail already.

You joke, but he's a wanted man, missing, and presumed to be armed and dangerous.
He could easily get stand-your-grounded.

Taikoluigi: Does this mean we'll quit seeing this crap in the news now?

Or will it be another farking month or so?

Remember Terry Schiavo? The 2000 elections? Casey Anthony?

It happened in Florida. It will go on for months with frenzied 24/7 coverage.

Jake Havechek: Thunderpipes: I assume people will remember this when a black guy does something wrong and some white guys want his head?

Justice system has just been dismantled, nobody wins here. Courts are now run by the mob, and the personal feelings of the President. Blah. Guilty or innocent, we all lose today.

Easy there champ, I know you're all bunched up due to centuries of white people being oppressed and subjugated, but calm down.

The liberal nanny state made him this way. He needs a hand up, not a hand out.

MythDragon: "You can stop looking in Florida," his former attorney Hal Uhrig told press yesterday. "Look much further away than that."

Isn't it technically just a breath away? Because no, probably not far enough.

So charge him with stalking too. Now he was engaged in unlawful activity.

Yakk: I was told by a friend who is a lawyer it is damn near impossible to convict with the terms of the "stand your ground" law for lesser charges. I wonder what the charge will be.

The guy who shot Englands {Tulsa shootings} father was found innocent of the shooting...self defense, but he is serving about 8 years for something like brandishing a dangerous weapon.

fracas: Phinn: Maybe he's in White-Mexico.

He's hiding out with Louis C.K.?

He's trying to find a place where he can blend in. Somewhere with a lot of White-Mexican half-Peruvian Jew racists.

That's where I'd go, if I were him. Some place just like that.

2012-04-11 03:17:01 PM
You have to wonder if they would have been better off not charging him...they better hope they have some lock tight evidence that says he's guilty. The backlash is only going to be worse if they bring him to trial and he gets off. Once the forensic evidence gets out, he'll either fry or get let off. The angle of entry/exit on the bullet would is going to be the big thing...

With the relative lack of true info that's come out on this case, I would have to suspect there's going to be a LOT of circumstantial evidence....if they had anything rock solid it wouldn't have taken so long for them to make an arrest.

Lol...WUT?

As a community activist and chief of staff for the New Black Panther Party, Michelle is used to addressing many issues. But when it comes to her passion in the Trayvon Martin case, she get especially upset and tearful.

Michelle said during the interview, "Let me tell you, the things that's about to happen, to these honkeys, these crackers, these pigs, these pink people, these ---- people. It has been long overdue. My prize right now this evening ... is gonna be the bounty, the arrest, dead or alive, for George Zimmerman. You feel me?"

Lawrence O'Donnell probably just came in his pants upon hearing this.

He's really been way over the top on this story, completely losing objectivity (as if he had any to begin with).

I'm sure his show will be entertaining tonight.

Silly Jesus: It'll be manslaughter.

Hung jury.

Yep. There's not enough evidence to dispel reasonable doubt on his defense. That's why there weren't charges in the first place. The onus of proof is on the prosecution. But they're going to have to hold a trial anyway because there will be riots otherwise now that the media has stirred up a hornets nest.

You may not like our legal system, but you'll appreciate it if you're ever accused of a crime you didn't commit.

Yeah...except that it doesn't fit the crime of stalking.

I was going to threadjack this morning, but I was on my way to jury duty and didn't have the time.

When I was watching the two lawyers on the Today show, I could swear that whatever building they were at had the word "FARK" painted high up on the wall, just at the upper left corner of the view. Anyone else see it?

It will be involuntary/aggravated manslaughter, or at most 2nd degree murder. I think a Grand Jury is the only body that can return a 1st degree murder charge.

Glad to see it's going to hit the courts, and we can see the evidence instead of all this pulling-it-out-our-asses stuff.

/Provided George comes in, that is...
