You mean editing a news paper to make a completely misleading headline is wrong? I got the impression that it was perfectly acceptable to make a political point.

Perhaps you should let Michael Moore know.

I'll go ahead and write your response for you: "It's 'different' when a liber... er.. 'film maker' does it than when a repub.. er... governor does it!'

For those of you unaware that Michale Moore did this, only even more blatantly, I'll leave it to you to figure it out.

The real headline read: "Murders highlight rise in crime in Guatemala."

Maybe Gov Rick Scott *is* getting Americans jobs ...as international assassins.

Did anyone think of that before jumping on the guy?

Yeah, didn't think so.

Silly libs!

It really is different when a film maker does it than when a governor does it, you retarded assclown. The fact that you anticipated this completely legitimate response, and then tried to prophylactically neutralize it, speaks volumes about you.

Protip to all overzealous graphicologists: Don't go photoshopping the front page of a large local metropolitan newspaper, which has it's own fact checkers, and which has a stake in ensuring that it's being quoted accurately.

You'll get caught every time. If you have to 'shop a newspaper, use something small and inconspicuous, like the "Podunk Backwater Monthly Digest", and for gods' sake, make sure it's at least 50 years old.

Sooooo..... basically what you're saying is that you hold the highest elected official in the state to the same standards as the guy who created "Canadian Bacon"?

I'm starting to think that America's problems might be deeper than simple political differences of opinion....

He's leaving it to us to figure it out. I think what we need to figure out is that Team GOP will only do X is somebody else did it first. This must mean they are the glue. And X is the rubber.

It's amazing how far the LameStream Media will go to discredit a strong conservative. I mean, a) denying he's creating jobs and b) changing an entire edition of a newspaper to make the governor look like a liar? HOW LOW WILL YOU SINK, MIASMA HERALD?

I'm looking at the real copy of Monday's Miami Herald and I think the one Rick Scott showed might be Photoshopped because it looks nothing like the real one I have.

If you're a state worker in Florida, you get an automatic email each Friday from Prick Scott, where he "highlights" a couple state workers with a blurb about their excellent performance and a rote "You state workers are excellent" note at the bottom.

All while he's slashing state jobs left and right, taking away pensions, infringing on their 4th amendment rights... it's really quite sick.

2012-04-11 03:39:29 PM
Not the first time either. Last year when his popularity hit an all-time low, he took out paid ads in newspapers and magazine proclaiming that he was doing an awesome job.

This guy is a scum-sucking weasel, and I hope these shenanigans will drive people to vote for Obama. Between him, Walker, and Kasich, it's like the GOP is trying to hand the swing states to Obama on a silver platter this year.

It was a fake headline pasted over a real story by Herald reporter Nancy San Martin from the Herald's International edition, dated March 5, 2007

Well hell now I'm wondering how the rise in crime in Guatemala is in 2012.
