Yup.

This seems the proper place to ask. Does anyone else remember the Riot Ninja from last year? I can't find the pictures of him anywhere and I know I saw it in one of the post-riot threads last year.

Most people can't even remember what I'm talking about.

Even if it was a shop, it was still pretty funny.

Don't count them out so fast. Word is they have 14 players that can perform a backward 2 and ½ somersaults with 2 and ½ twists in the piked position. That can create a lot of power play opportunities.

Nah, he's funny too, but it was something else. It looked like someone took the time to digitally insert a ninja in almost all of the riot pictures complete with the black suit. He was on rooftops, hanging out in windows, basically photoboming the riot.

It looked shopped but was still funny as hell. Now I can't find them anywhere.

That's him! I swear he was in a whole lot more, but it could be that those pictures have been taken down by now. I thought I searched all the archived riot threads too but I must have missed one.

Thanks!

Don't think that's shopped, I just think the esteemed Saints fan who owns that photobucket just labeled anyone with a black hoodie pulled up as a "ninja".

I wonder how much the car sharing company "car2go" gained from the riots. The image of the kids smashing one with a crowbar was the first I time I heard about the company, then a couple months later the things are everywhere in Vancouver, and seemed to beat out the other car sharing companies for top spot.

Would this have been the case if we saw a Co-op Car get torched on live TV instead?

The Kings definitely have a shot, assuming that they realize that they are allowed to actually score goals in addition to just preventing them.

But the second round has the potential for Canucks - Blackhawks, Part 4. Every hockey fan outside of LA and Glendale wants to see that happen.

IIRC, that kid took the stick from a rioter and was taking a stand of sorts, but media outlets saw what they saw and labeled him a rioter too.

That was the story the kid was trying to tell when that pic hit the paper. Turned out he was smashing and bashing with the rest of them.

No point, most of the people disappear the moment their team is out. Some stick around and move the goal posts to the prediction "oh first round? I meant second...Er third...finals..there I'm a genius!"

This place was cleared out of hawks and sharks fans pretty quick for all the blustering and image dumping.

I think mass coverage of the 94 riot didn't help last year as they kept cutting between then peaceful crowds and the old riot tape. Felt like the equivalent of calling a shutout before the final horn, can't tempt fate like that.

Hah! I watched one of their SmartCars back into a pole yesterday. I honestly have no idea how you fail at parking one of those. Then again there was a 458 driving by so maybe they were just distracted.

The other day I was running some errands and almost got T-boned by a zip car at Arbutus and 4th, then 5 minutes later got cutoff by a co-op car. I thought you need a license to use car sharing programs.

A licence yes. The ability to actually drive? Nope. Took me an hour to get into work today, I wonder how this happened?

It's altogether likely that the people who use those programs don't drive very often, so their skills may have atrophied. Also, they're probably driving a new type of car for the first time, and you know what driving a new car is like..... takes a couple spins to get a feel for it, the handling, how it corners and grips the road, spatial awareness and etc..etc...

So you have people who don't drive often in vehicles they're not experienced in. What do you think's going to happen?

No Daniel tonight. Raymond is playing on the top line.

Before anyone acuses him of diving, Mason just has a problem staying on his feet. It has nothing to do with drawing penalties.

I think I must be the only one to be picking the Coyotes. Every other set of picks, including the Devils "upset" is in line with mine, but no one else seems to be picking Phoenix. Can't believe everyone is forgetting about/discounting Mike Smith.

I'm not counting Pittsburgh/Philly because that thing is a farking coin toss. 7 games, overtime in at least 5.

Seven of their fourteen playoff appearances have ended in the second round. But keep telling people they're stupid.

I honestly don't know what to expect out of Western teams because I don't get to easily watch them. I have to find streams just to see my team.

I'll pick the Yotes too so you're not alone, also because I farkin hate the Hawks.

I think it will play like the Hawks/Preds series from a couple years back.

The hawks will stumble a bit as they run into a hot goalie, but will get their groove late in the series as they just have too many weapons.

Toews is a gametime decision. But he's staring off into space without blinking or speaking for minutes at a time, so at least his personality has come back.
