If you're tangled up, yes. The call goes about 50/50 tripping/hooking depending on where your stick is. I got called once when i was lifting a stick from behind and the guy lost his balance.

Not really. At least geom_00 can admit to being a homer. I though Penguins getting favorable calls was common knowledge.

I bleed black and gold, don't me wrong (yes, even for the Pirates), but you can't honestly be saying that the refs missing an offsides call like that is just "okay" because the Pens get a few calls their way. Why not just let them play with 6 players for 15 seconds at a time, just to make things even? There are judgement type calls -- like was that a hard hit or a roughing penalty -- but offsides is not a judgement call that you can "get" based on reputation.

You also have to realize that I hate the Penguins and everything they stand for. It's funny, because I love the way the Steelers play football the right way (hard-nosed, physical, respectable) while the Penguins are the exact opposite (cheap, dirty, whiny, and with obvious favoritism from the league). To me the fact that they play in the same city is amusing and that people who are fans of both teams don't see the obvious differences. So when there are so many obvious non-judgment calls made that favor the Penguins (without the Penguins or their fans bothering to acknowledge it) I think it's just the tits when a call goes against them. Sucks, doesn't it? Now you know how other teams' fans feel when they play the Penguins.
