This is my favorite video game glitch of all time

That is funny as hell and deserved a better headline than this.

Was Xavi playing the game? That was a nice pass.

2012-04-11 09:00:10 AM
No red card on the keeper for that one? I guess the ref/computer figured, so long as one of the two players was able to score, it didn't matter.

Can we get this glitch in a FIFA Women's game?

2012-04-11 09:10:55 AM
Yeah, gonna hafta tone down his aggression rating.

The video? Amusing.

Having to click on a farking Gawker site just to get the link to the video? farking retarded.

STOP LINKING TO THESE WORTHLESS THROUGH-SITES!

Hint: if it says "via" at the bottom, send us THAT link.

Jackass.

EA will make that feature available as DLC no doubt.

There's a bunch of subbys out there who will NEVER learn this. The douche that keeps tossing up TechEBlog links is the same way.

Best I could do at 6:30 in the morning before any coffee. And ArcadianRefugee, quit whining. The original had already been redlit.

That was pretty god damn hilarious, and I have an inexplicable urge to play soccer now.

This is really not helping to dispel the "soccer is gay" meme.

I submitted this one (^) a while back (with a better headline, naturally) but it didn't get greenlit.

I play FIFA '12 regularly with my bro and cousin.

Curve kicks to the upper corner of the goal pisses them off all the time.

It's nice to see the same algorithm for the soccer refs is used for the WWE refs.

Haha, it looks like both players were able to score on that one.

Being in class I almost lost it when I watched this video.

Here's a compilation of more physics glitches. No sexual assault, but lots of standard assault, flying, breakdancing, and balls being launched into orbit.

I have never seen a keeper get carded in a FIFA game ever.

Actually, it frequently happens like this:

• Liter finds link to direct video/article/whatever, submits it to the queue.
• Submission is rejected by modmins.
• TFer likes said link, but the direct link has already been rejected, so they find another site that links to it and they submit that.
• New link gets greened because it was submitted by a TFer and not a smelly Liter.
• People biatch and whine in the comments about subby linking to a through-site instead of the source.

Not saying that's what happened in this case, but it does certainly happen on Fark.

Gawker has the video inline.. there was no additional clicking needed. qwiturbiatchin!

Lunchlady: I have never seen a keeper get carded in a FIFA game ever.

I used to play FIFA 09 (the latest version that I own) regularly. It would always piss me off when one of my players would casually bump into the opposing keeper and get called for the foul. Once, I managed to flick the ball over the head of a crappy keeper on a crappy team I created, for a certain goal, except my player automatically chased it, stepped into the keeper, who had jumped in vain for the ball, on the ground, and got whistled for the foul.

That's not what Gawker pays Drew for though. That's the only possible explanation for thousands of worthless links to io9.

Oh ya. If you play FIFA even semi-regularly (you own two editions that are years apart) you'll start to notice and expect certain bullshiats they put in to balance the game or make it difficult.

My personal (least)favorite is the tendency of your defenders to get called when you jostle but if you're on a breakaway the computer's defenders can basically rape you from behind when they catch up to you.

It's what I do as a smelly liter when an article that I think is good has the "already submitted" but doesn't appear in liter-land. Of course, I think I've only had one link approved.

People need to learn how to put a question mark (and more) on the end of a url
