Sure the court of public opinion can gauge how a great number of people in the Untied States feel, but then the trial courts have this awesome process called voir dire where they weed out the idiots who succumb to the court of public opinion for their vote.

Read the article; Zimmerman's gone full retard. He's not talking with his own lawyers (which is why they were allowed to quit), he's having conversations with the woman who will decide whether to charge him, possibly saying self-incriminating things to her, and running his mouth to the media.

Even someone who flunked the GED exam for law could tell you: SHUT THE FARK UP AND LET YOUR ATTORNEY HANDLE THINGS!!! If he had lied low, this might have blown over. Now the prosecutor probably smells blood in the water, and he'll be lucky if he only gets a short sentence.
