Fail for the Newsflash, but I didn't hate the headline.

With a headline like that and a newsflash, I was sure he'd killed himself for a moment.

Zimmerman seems...unwise.

FTFA: Uhrig said Zimmerman had called Fox News talk show host Sean Hannity, which also worried them.

Understandably. That's a sure sign he's not thinking straight.

Well, then, he has nothing to be afraid of, now, does he.

2012-04-10 07:10:12 PM
He will get charged for sure, but so far there is no evidence he committed a crime, so this could turn out ... badly

2012-04-10 07:10:24 PM
Why would you want to be a lawyer on a case that's already been tried, sealed, delivered (I'm yours)?

2012-04-10 07:10:52 PM
Well, someone's got to defend him if he wants a lawyer. But if he thinks he can somehow get by without one, well, so much the better: it'll only make his conviction even more likely, and no defense attorneys will have to give up a piece of their souls to defend the indefensible.

When we realize that sometimes, we need to talk about things, even if they make special interests uncomfortable.

Talkin' issues of race, and guns, and law. Mmm, good talkin'.

So if I shoot someone and say that I was preventing them from committing a crime, I remain jail-free? WOOHOO! KILLING SPREE!

In the court of public opinion he's guilty. In a court of law, he isn't even on trial. People need to disassociate their feelings for a couple of minutes to think it over like rational sane people before firing up the torches.

Going to the special prosecutor while referring to your lawyers as 'legal advisers' sounds a whole lot like someone's working on his own defense. Maybe he's been reading ChuDogg's posts and thinking he can handle this himself.

And who else here believes the words 'do you know who my father is' were dropped while he was talking to the prosecutor?

actually, he MIGHT be guilty in a court of law. that bit is still grinding through the legal process right now.

Even if what he did was legal, I'm hoping some good comes of it and we can get some of these laws fixed. ANY situation of ANY kind that involves shooting to death an innocent teen in his own neighborhood needs to be examined and fixed. This is not something that happens when you've got good, working systems going on.

Scum knows scum.... But hey, I'm sure this emotionally and mentally unstable sociopath is totally innocent and never lied about anything that occurred that night.

What is the significance of this? He's not, at least as of yet, been charged with any crime. He's not been sued. He's not actively litigating any case that I'm aware of. So what, these lawyers are going to withdraw from doing nothing?

Ender's: In the court of public opinion he's guilty. In a court of law, he isn't even on trial. People need to disassociate their feelings for a couple of minutes to think it over like rational sane people before firing up the torches.

I am inclined to agree, however the undisputed (even by Zimmerman) fact is he shot an unarmed teenager. People tend to get huffy about things like that. It's understandable.

2012-04-10 07:14:29 PM
Wasn't it established very early on that he was NOT a part of any neighborhood watch, and violated most of the rules the nation neighborhood watch association or whatever the hell it is lays out?

Can we please stop calling this guy a "community watch volunteer" now?

2wolves:

I'd just be glad to wash my hands of this thing without my name being a household synonym for "the guy who defended the Trayvon Killer", but they supposedly did their job, they should get paid. It's not their fault their client is an idiot and goes to the prosecution behind their backs.

"The family is very concerned he's (Zimmerman) unaccounted for, the killer of their son. It all begs the question of whether he will ever be brought to justice," Benjamin Crump, another Martin family attorney, told NBC News.

Grr.... "Begs the question" != "prompts the question"!

What a shiat show this all is...

Murder involves premeditation, you may have problems proving that.
