Prank Call of Cthulhu: Hopefully, he'll announce it in spectacular Pennsylvanian fashion.

[i41.tinypic.com image 550x364]

Hoping someone you disagree with politically blows their brains out on live TV.

No hate like liberal hate.

Pappas: This is so abrupt that there HAS to be a VP nom in his future. This just smacks of a shady backroom deal.

There is no chance in hell that Mittens picks Frothy-Boy as his veep. That would kill any chance he has of getting votes from independents, let alone Dems. He will pick somelike the following:

--Chris Christie (widely [heh] viewed as a moderate even though he really isn't, able to fire off some good one-liners, can help get votes in a big state like NJ)

--Paul Ryan (name is in the news, teabagger favorite, thus far able to hide the extremist nature of his agenda behind a pretty-boy facade)

--Marco Rubio (name ends in a vowel so Mittens assume he'll draw Latino votes even though he's Cuban-American and most Latin Americans distrust and resent Cubans because of their favored status in the U.S.; teabagger favorite; should help Mittens in key swing state of Florida)

--Mitch Daniels (inoffensive boring white guy--so in other words, he speaks Mittens' language and appeals to the same demographic)

Dr.Zom: "We were winning in different ways....by bringing up issues people didn't want to discuss."

Uh...yeah.

Handicapped kids, check. Duggar family, check. Sweater vest, Check.

I think Santorum's blatant exploiting of handicapped people and supporters is disgusting.

Not the least because he would cut all their health care.

2012-04-10 02:32:04 PM
IMO Santorum won't be Romney's vp pick, it makes no sense. The teabaggers have been fed a 4 year diet of Obama seekrit muslin communist socialist usurper and he is a black guy. They don't need any more motivation to vote against the usurper. Romney will need a guy who is likable to women and moderates while having some military cred.

2012-04-10 02:32:25 PM
please please please brokered convention please please.

2012-04-10 02:32:33 PM
BWAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAA!!!!

Get in line behind Rmoney, Republicans! You know it's the only choice your party will allow! You'll show up and pull that lever on Election Day for Rmoney because you have no other choice! None!! You'll eat whatever shiat sandwich the GOP offers you and like it!

...hey, if the Democratic party base has to put up with the Compromiser-in-Chief for Round 2, the GOP base can choke down Republican Obama. I'll wager more will be willing to swallow Rmoney than Santorum.

2012-04-10 02:32:34 PM
Rockin' that Stephen Harper style, isn't he?

2012-04-10 02:32:40 PM

bobbette: Weaver95: Super Chronic: Weaver95: Muta: I want another picture of Santorum with his family but this time with his son crying while holding his Real Doll.

the santorum family looks kind of....creepy.

What? His kids, Wednesday and Pugsley, are adorable!

that chick in the green shirt is kinda hittable.

That's crying girl, I hope you know

she can cry aaaaaaaaallllll she wants....that's totally hot.

awwww the evenly-split horserace, the media so desperately needed to happen, is dead...

One bigoted conservative extremist out. Two to go...

2012-04-10 02:33:24 PM

HotWingConspiracy: EWreckedSean: Rubio is the obvious choice.

Conservative white guilt.

The end of my white guilt (new window)

so so hilarious

All he needs to do is bite the head off a kitten.

He's out!? I'm unsure of what will happen next. Quick, someone give me some statisticals!

2012-04-10 02:34:24 PM
It still creeps me out that he got as far as he did (and Bachmann, too, for that matter). Does the GOP not screen these people, or do they secretly want Obama to have a second term?

2012-04-10 02:34:26 PM
Word around Ohio says he'll pick Rob Portman as running mate.

2012-04-10 02:34:27 PM

EWreckedSean: AnnoyingKidNextDoor: Depends how militant the Tea Party gets, but I can't help but wonder if he's doing this to rise up Romney's shortlist for VP. I mean who else is there for Pete's sake?

Rubio is the obvious choice. He has no path to victory without Florida. Plus the Tea Party folks like him, even though he pretends they don't exist for the most part anymore.

He is no longer a full on Teabagger since endorsing Rmoney and the DREAM Act. My Freeper friends were very adamant about it.

Free Republic is hilarious right now btw, full on melt down.

Inb4 all the Ron Paul supporters start exulting because now everyone will HAVE to vote for Ron Paul

So sad I'm away from the TV and missing the press conference. How lulzy is it?

Makes sense, but of those three, Daniels is the only one that makes sense...

Christie: Loud mouthed enough to take after Rex Ryan and say something stupid during a debate/live event

Ryan: TP may love him, but 1000% toxic to party brass/donors, and an immediate turnoff to indies

Rubio: Token minority candidate with mormon ties and a shady family history = loser on the ticket

Daniels: Vanilla enough to not get squashed by Biden in a debate, or screw up on TV.

Rubio already came out and said he was not the VP, I think Christie did too. I think both of them don't want to taint their 2016 chances.

Either the freepers quickly pretend they were for Rmoney all along, or they go batshiat and split the party voting for independents that are for Amurika.

2012-04-10 02:35:58 PM
If Santorum is avoiding a humiliation in his home state to stay on a potential Veep list then he is deluded. He might ultimately save some face because another blowout loss in Penn. would destroy his career, political or on fox news or any other right wing group.

Republican's need to troll everyone now and give Newt the win in Pennsylvania. This race can't be over, I refuse to accept it, there are too many lols left.

Weaver95: there's that 'american exceptionalism' thing again. WTF man....what does that even mean?

It's a non-confrontational way to say "nationalism." Various wars ruined that term for contemporary usage.

2012-04-10 02:36:26 PM
That was sudden. Either he made a deal with Romney, or his campaign is spiraling into debt. Probably both.

Don't get the reference. Background?

Robert Budd Dwyer (new window)

I had a videotape of the raw footage from his last news conference. Professional camera work- zoomed in to a closeup of R Budd as he slumped to the floor.

The disgusting part is that his state pension went to his family because under PA law, until sentenicng, he was still state treasurer. Politicians protecting themselves.

'shining city on the hill'.

what weird catch phrases evangelicals have...

2012-04-10 02:37:21 PM
I guess he just didn't pray to god hard enough to get that nomination.

2012-04-10 02:37:33 PM
Too bad. I would have liked to see how badly he lost in the general election.

2012-04-10 02:37:48 PM
And we're done.

that was a strange press conference.

2012-04-10 02:37:50 PM

make me some tea: Weaver95: the freepers are screaming like a pack of Nazgul right now.

Holy hell, they really seem to hate Romney as much as they hate Obama. A lot of em are gonna sit this one out from the looks of it.

Romney is a Massachusetts Republican, which is a Blue Dog Democrat in many Republican strongholds.

That, and Mormon is just about as much an "other" as "Kenyan".

2012-04-10 02:37:52 PM

Cyberluddite: --Chris Christie (widely [heh] viewed as a moderate even though he really isn't, able to fire off some good one-liners, can help get votes in a big state like NJ)

Christie wouldn't help Romney get NJ

--Paul Ryan (name is in the news, teabagger favorite, thus far able to hide the extremist nature of his agenda behind a pretty-boy facade)

Would cause him to get hammered by the elderly vote

--Marco Rubio (name ends in a vowel so Mittens assume he'll draw Latino votes even though he's Cuban-American and most Latin Americans distrust and resent Cubans because of their favored status in the U.S.; teabagger favorite; should help Mittens in key swing state of Florida)

*might* help in Florida but wouldn't do much to sway the overall Hispanic vote

--Mitch Daniels (inoffensive boring white guy--so in other words, he speaks Mittens' language and appeals to the same demographic)

Would be thoroughly uninspiring and wouldn't help turnout at all.

2012-04-10 02:37:56 PM

If the city is on a hill, then it is highly-susceptible to siege tactics. Starve the residents.

doesn't matter. the GOP rank and file will STFU, wipe their brains clean and vote for Romney. they'll forget they voted against Romney, they'll do what the party orders them to do.
