Can't you just take the fees out of my share of the check? That way I won't have to send you anything. Seems easier that way.

So it's an American going at it against a Nigerian and a Columbian to run the World Bank.

Nope can't see anything weird or off putting by this, nope not at all.

On topic, I am torn.

On one hand I sincerely doubt she is qualified. I see nothing that convinces me Nigeria has their shiat together economically.

On the other hand, it's not like the World Bank and IMF haven't basically farked up everything they have touched.

My guess is a third world candidate would do what will have to happen eventually and have a shiatload of third world debt forgiven, because that shiat is not getting paid back.

LegacyDL: So it's an American going at it against a Nigerian and a Columbian to run the World Bank.

And the American is a first rate slime bucket. There's an article about some less than savory traditions at Dartmouth in Rolling Stone, can read it online and his response is basically "there's nothing I can do about it" even though as head of the school there is damn well a ton he could do.

It may be time to think about switching banks.

It's almost as if things will be farked no matter what happens.

Plus if it's a foreign black female, we get an unending avalanche of extra derp courtesy of Faux News. Because see there was this agreement, we get the bank, Europe gets the IMF, it was an agreement. There was an agreement.

We agreed.

SharkTrager: On one hand I sincerely doubt she is qualified.

FTA: "In addition to her experience in the Nigerian government, where she earned a reputation for battling corruption, Okonjo-Iweala logged more than two decades at the World Bank, eventually rising to the No. 2 spot. As an economist with degrees from Harvard and MIT, some argue that she's a better fit for the bank than Kim, a doctor who built his reputation developing public health schemes for poor countries."

Although personally my knee-jerk reaction against her had to do more with her country of origin than her race or gender.

A black woman? Cool.
From America, Canada, or Europe? That's fine.
From Africa? Less promising, but it really depends which country she's from...
From farking Nigeria? Are you kidding me?!

If the nigerian princess wins it... the bank will be cleaned out and show all the signs of the worlds biggest chicken and crack party having occurred there. That, or she will mysteriously show up the next day with the worlds most expensive set of spinning rims on her car.

Seriously though according to the article the US is under fire for having a "monopoly" on the presidency on the world bank. While I Do not agree with out crappy fiscal policy, we as a nation generally have a better sense of finance than Nigera or the other 3rd world crap countries. When your nation is only known for piracy and internet scamming old/stupid people... you really shouldn't get to be the president of the world bank.

Everyone knows if you want that bank run right you give the job to a jew.

This is how I know nation-issued currency no longer has any value to the elite and is a meaningless transaction item of "wealth" .

Look who they're allowing to vie to be in charge of these institutions!

(know why I liked Rhodesia? Where else could you enjoy being served gin cocktails by a former cannibal while watching a good polo match?)

Have we lost our minds completely? Why is a person in charge of Nigeria's terrible banking system even being considered for this?

/Opens article and looks at picture

Oh that's why.

Semmi, you have disgraced yourself, and you must be punished. Confine yourself to our royal suite at the Waldorf-Astoria. And see that he puts on some decent attire. And I want you to bathe him thoroughly.

The US guy will take it. The europeans and the US ultimately decide who gets that position, and the US and europe have had a long standing agreement to allow the president to stay american. until the US decides they don't want it anymore, they will keep it.

Headline of the year contender.

I love reading through those e-mails and laughing at the poor use of grammar and terms.
