Hey guys, a few facts (yes, I know people just HATE facts in a Zimmerman thread, you damn libs).

If he's taking payments via paypal, he has two choices. Be limited to $200 a month (iirc), or upgrade to unlimited a month but with Paypal taking a fee on each transaction.

IIRC, it's a few cent fee plus a percentage of the total of the transaction.

It costs you nothing to donate to him.

So I'm going to donate to Zimmerman twenty-five cents.

Everybody's eyes are on the case, and people want the dude put away, so the government is likely going to go full-bore on this one. At least, that's my take on dismissing the grand jury. They're just going to go right for the prosecution to get in the spotlight while people care. Or the self defense claim is so laughable that it won't even be a big part of the actual trial. Either or.

What I don't want to see happen is for the defense to argue that Stand Your Ground had any bearing here (it didn't) and then lose with a decision that dilutes or muddies up the law. If Zimmerman does go down for this I'd rather see it be because there was no self defense claim to start with. That removes SYG and duty to retreat stuff and keeps the decision "clean."

Back when I was single and making more money I'd have probably lobbed $50 toward the guy so he gets a fare shake at getting decent representation.

Same goes for the guy in AZ that shot a mentally retarded guy. It looks bad but I'll wait for the courts do to their work before I draw any conclusions.

The evidence is that a man driving around in his car, who had two arrests for violent offenses, and who was carrying a gun AND who was not law enforcement, somehow wound up shooting to death an unarmed teenager with no arrest record 35 yards away from his car. I don't really care about the races involved at that point.

Don't forget the part where Zimmerman called 911 from inside his car and the dispatcher told him that pursuing Martin was a Very Bad Idea, but he did it anyway.

I just don't get it. Zimmerman was clearly in the wrong. he disobeyed the orders of the 911 dispatcher and gunned down an unarmed kid. Granted, Florida law might have somehow covered his ass for murder...but Zimmerman GUNNED DOWN AN UNARMED KID! you can't defend that sort of thing. you just can't.
