It makes me want to move to the places that are the most windy. Or atleast vacation there.

/Also love thunderstorms. Florida was good for something while I was there.

For some reason the Brazilian version of that is blank.

You know what you did, we know what you did, let's just leave it at that and everyone stays happy and out of prison m'kay?

I bookmarked this the other day, wherever it came from. I just sit and watch the wind blow. it goes along with the groans and rattles from my house.

But it's not blowing at all right now, which is nice.

I love coming back to Fark to find I've got a greenlight! Woo! To be honest it's just something that wound up in my Facebook feed. Do I lose cool points for that?

Yeah I want to see this when there's a flurry of tornadoes somewhere. I'd also love to see the entire continent mapped out this way, if not the world.

/back to editing!

Nah, but it is kind of old. No offense but this wind map is so last week!

Ha! I kinda love living in a cultural where last week is roughly analogous to five years ago. Microzeitgeist or something.

I can't wait to see what it looks like when a hurricane makes landfall.

Apparently there's no wind in Mississippi.

Yikes, what a mess! I understand weather maps are all about utility, but would it kill them to have a cartographer or graphic designer on hand? Some attention to aesthetics would go a long way.

/Yeah, I'm a geographer.

Do You Know What I Am Saying: Apparently there's no wind in Mississippi.

The sensors were either shot by drunk rednecks or had their copper parts stolen and sold.

Either that or their legislature tried to ban them due to their contribution to that devil's work known as "science".

Grid resolution here is 5km, from what I recall, and updated on the hour. Highly doubt any extremely localized events such as tornadoes would show up.

/Now come hurricane season, things should get REALLY interesting...
