Yeah, I can totally believe that a guy like Romney is a hunter. Just like Sarah Palin is a hunter.

He's so full of shiat. What kind of guy worth a couple hundred million dollars hunts varmints? When does he ever load up the old 10/22 and go hunting for rabbits around his estate?

Dude, just say, "My boys have guns and I enjoy shooting them, but I'm not a hunter myself."

He has a gun to keep the servants from revolting to the rule of Romney Manor.

You don't have to be a hunter to own a gun. If I was Rmoney I would probably keep a pistol grip shotgun in my house.

Such base calumny! Why, he'll have you know that his footman pressed a lovely antique Remmington shotgun into his hands that he was pretty sure belonged to him just the other day after the beaters succeded in scaring a few grouse into the open while he was out sporting with Muffy and Trevor and good ol' Chiplington (Harvard '76)

Seriously though, it's the NRA. If he didn't say he owned one, they'd probably revolt and call him a Communist.

2012-04-09 12:42:29 PM
One does not need to own a gun to support gun rights. I support gun rights and I have never owned a gun, nor do I plan to. Sort of like abortion rights, never needed it, but I support other people's right.

If the NRA wasn't just a shill for the Republican Party, I might even support them.

It's paraphrased from her Alaska "reality" show. One episode she went hunting. Some guy hands her the gun. She says something to that effect, including the apprehension over the gun "kicking," as well as a "this is so exciting" type statement. That was just one facepalm moment from the 10 minutes that I was able to stomach.

I'd love to have some sort of chart of the mental gymnastics necessary for the NRA crowd who have seen this to ignore it.

Because even though he's never said a word about it and gun control has been eased during Obama's administration, in his second term, Obama will personally come and take your guns! And they will rape your white wives! And we're going to decrease our taxes and increase yours.

Do a youtube search for Sarah Palin hunting. If you are a hunter you will facepalm a good ten times or so at the stupid things her and her hunting pals do.

Romney probably has even less experience.

There was more than that. She couldn't carry her own weapon because it was too heavy. She kept walking in the wrong direction and they had to redirect her. If I remember correctly, she didn't load the gun herself. There were probably four more facepalm moments in that snippet that I saw. You should spend a few minutes on youtube; I'm sure you could find most of those without much effort.

Anyone who A) has hunted or handled guns and B) saw that performance, was left painfully aware that she's never actually hunted a day in her life. Yet she's gotten exactly none of the ridicule John Kerry got for being a "fake" hunter.

Why is that do you suppose?

(and why did none of the MSM notice that W's "Ranch" had no animals of any kind and that the president was scared of horses generally?)

Yeah, he's been kinda not saying anything about gun control. If you ignore that stuff.

Ruger has been very successful with a product called a 10-22 for years. Is there any reason (other than possible local law) not to use a .22 on rabbits? The answer is no.

Because you MUST be a gun enthusiast yourself in order to be supportive of the 2nd Amendment and gun rights.

I'd like to say I'm a supporter of abortion rights, but try as I may, I just can't get pregnant and get an abortion. I think I'm doing it wrong.

He's the ultimate panderer in a profession of panderers. If he weren't tacking so hard to the right he'd be talking to women's groups about how he understands their pain and wouldn't want anything shoved in any of his seven vaginas.
