Is this another one of those bike clothes threads, where people tell me I should go spend $50 on a bike shirt that doesn't have any logos on it instead of just wearing the swag I got for free at a race?

There looks to be a great opening to pass just ahead of them. Maybe Ugly Shirt Guy just expected Impatient Camera Guy to wait a couple more seconds.

Yeah, they even have the word "video" tagged all over it.

Found it after a little googling. Of course it's your standard Internet victim video, where the events leading up to the fight are mysteriously left out.

No different than typical road rage. Without the protection and relative anonymity afforded by a car, this is what you'd see happen a lot more on the roads.

"fark you, get off my tail!"

"fark you, yield!"

Yes, you cheap bastard. That swag is free for a reason: it makes you look like $50 worth of douche sauce.

And not just because they were bicycle riders either.

The only reason you spend money on bike clothes is so that people don't think you're only riding a bike to work because you got a DUI.

F**king madd.

Thanks for making people rush to judgement just because I want to ride my bike to work and not dress like a tool.

Im certain bike riding clothing is not nearly as important and having proper yoga attire.

why is a 'bike shirt' necessary at all? What's wrong with the $10, 5 year old tee shirt in the bottom of your drawer?

Well if you wear a loose shirt while riding it acts kind of like a sail ... which is why I used to wear a loose shirt, to show what a badass I am ("I'm wearing a loose ass shirt and STILL passing your ass!")

Actually I think the guy kept the camera in mind pretty well. He kept his head down and made the camera fairly useless. I did understand the, well if he got me on camera I might as well beat him a second time-a.

The whole arguement over the trail is stupid on both sides. Atleast he wasn't going the wrong way.

I don't hate all cyclists. Just the ones whose daily route includes a 55 mph two-lane road with no shoulder.

Which is only like 95% of them.

The ability to wick away sweat and keep you cool and dry. Really, anything polyester will do, but wind is your greatest enemy on the bike, hence the more tightly fitting garb.

the only thing that gets me mad while biking around is a car that tries to kill you. I enjoy other bikers, because it's safer to travel in a group.

/ I use my bike for transportation. i live in a small city that is bike friendly, as long as you avoid the neighborhoods and roads that want to kill you -- the ghetto is a lot scarier than some cyclist
// I also like to bike during festivals, carnivale, and other big tourist events. that way i don't have to park, and i can avoid traffic.

What the hell do they feed you guys in the south Pacific that makes you aggro like that? Nearly every week I hear about someone in Aus or NewZ losing it over something seemingly minor.

Like you guys can talk. We're all wearing internet garb - snot-encrusted bathrobes and underwear that's been on for 4 days. It's de rigueur.

I guess I don't consider most people wearing cyclist garb as trying to make a good time. If you are just out for a workout, a little extra resistance is a good thing, no?

I resent that implication! There's no snot on my robe, only some Cheeto stains and perhaps a bit of dripped custard, and I changed my underwear just the other day.

I've gone for half day rides in Florida, in the summer, in shorts and a t-shirt. It's fine. People who aren't in a race or training for a race yet who still wear full kits are just doing so because the salesman at the bike shop was really convincing, or because they think it makes them seem like a more serious cyclist or something.

One of the reasons why people wear bike shirts is that they have pockets in the back for your phone, keys etc. They also help to wick the sweat.

More important than a shirt is padded shorts. After a even a short distance like 10 miles you will be wanting pads. But you don't have to get the stupid spandex ones. I have a couple pairs of "mountain biking shorts" that look like normal shorts but have a padded liner.
