omeganuepsilon: I remember playing Spectre in computer class in middle-school, and remember it being quite fun.

I looked up a video on youtube, and kinda went, "ugh" but i really do see how it could be pretty fun to play. Years later I played a similar wireframe game at an arcade that actually controlled like a tank(you sit in it and control it with two levers) and you could could play the thing competitively with the one next to it.

I would love a competitive / battle vehicle type of game to come out and something like that would be perfect. With today's processing power you could do some very innovative 3d shapes, and without light/texture processing, you could make a pretty amazing game that would run on just about anything.

The nice part is that you could do it with many players and not tax any given system a lot(modern games like CoD can be resource hogs when you get 16 players blowing shiat up and calling in ac-130's and such).

Steel Talons. That is all I have to say.

Me and my buddy, both being Army vets monopolized that machine in this one mall near his place when I'd go visit.

An combat chopper simulator game. It was two side by side seats, each with its own screen, collective, joystick, and pedals.
The seats had some kind of "whacker" mounted under the seat that would "whack" it as rounds hit your craft. Nothing beat flying at treetop level to sneak up on him, pop up out of a draw in the side of a ridge as he flies by and load him up with some lead.

The satisfaction of feeling the hard pounding in his seat as my rounds hit him could not be topped.

That last line is teh awesome.
