Just because almost everything Obama supports either doesn't work or makes things worse is no reason for anyone to automatically assume that anything he supports is a bad idea.

Really, when Obama supports something you have to ask yourself which of his supporters is getting a tax payer handout as a result and when he's against something you have to wonder which group of his supporters he's trying to appeal to.

2012-04-08 05:40:48 PM
Obama should deliver a speech that includes the line "Make no mistake - middle-aged white men who walk down to the National Mall and give each other Bulgarian Highchair Stomps are wrong for America. I totally oppose elected officials who take Mule Tamer 5000s and use them without the vitally important floor bolts being secured to no less than two anchor points. I also think that Americans should NOT attempt to taste passing freight trains, no matter how succulent those highball freights might be."

Bowels-Simpleton is a thinly-disguised scam to dismantle Social Security, but give Democrats "political cover" for betraying their core beliefs.

And it's especially hypocritical for that nasty old DoucheBag Simpson to deride all of those "greedy geezers" and people sucking on "310 million teats" when he himself gets to enjoy the best medical care and pension that our taxpayer money can buy.

Sigh, there's good people here, too. Not everyone is insane. In fact, most of the insane people are transplants and outsiders. Also think about what the fallout would do to the commuter communities in Maryland and Virginia.

randomjsa: Just because almost everything Obama supports either doesn't work or makes things worse is no reason for anyone to automatically assume that anything he supports is a bad idea.

That's not true.

No, I don't have to ask myself that.

And in another article on HuffPo, it talks about some Repub blaming "Lockstep Liberals" for high gas prices. Yep, that's liberals alright, always uniting and agreeing on every single thing that the party puts forth...

At this point we shouldn't be covering for the Republicans. They want to march off the cliff? Let them. We're not their mothers.

The winds of change are blowing, and the Republican death knell has begun. They don't want to stop it. I fail to see why we should.

Republicans are synonymous with "lockstep".

/And at it's fringes they verge on "goosestep".

Democrats are synonymous with "herding cats"

When Republicans support tax cuts for the rich, which of their supporters are getting handouts? When Republicans oppose tax cuts for the working class, which of their supporters are they trying to appeal to?

The GOP has had zero interest in governing the United States since at least 1980. They're actively trying to destroy the country.

Serious Black: When Republicans support tax cuts for the rich, which of their supporters are getting handouts?

It takes a special kind of silly to say to somebody "You're keeping some of the money you earned instead of giving it to the government, so you're getting a hand out!"

If I don't take your lunch tomorrow so I can give it to somebody else, am I giving you something?

When Republicans oppose tax cuts for the working class, which of their supporters are they trying to appeal to?

When Republicans cut taxes under Bush, my brother in law and sister got a larger cut than I did, as did my parents. That might have something to do with this crazy crazy idea that because they paid more in taxes than I did thus when taxes were cut they got a larger break than I did.

Or do you mean 'working class' as in those who basically pay no income tax? Because that's generally who Democrats like trying to give 'tax breaks' to. 'Earned Income Tax Credit' my rear end.

Maybe I crossed the line when I asked what they paid you before, but honestly, can you give me some contact info? I'd be happy to pull the kind of horsesh*t you do for some cheap weekly shwag and a cashier's check. Times are tough, and I'd love to benefit from b*tching about how less tough they get. I can get creative. My allegiance is only to those who pay me, so I'm sure you and I will make fast high-five headset partners. We can argue about which Peruvian chicken place to get lunch from, and compare pattern baldness, and high-five some more and wear new headsets and eat new chicken together and leer at the interns. You and me, bro.

I don't think he's trolling. The thing is, there are people who really think like that- lots of them. Surprisingly, some of them are at least semiliterate, and some even have internet connections. He could be a troll, but I think it's more likely that he's just a goddamned idiot.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Conrad beat back criticism of his party's approach to fiscal matters, saying it was inaccurate to accuse Congressional Democrats of not having passed a budget or not having adopted a serious approach to reducing the debt.

www.lolwut.com

Jan 24, 2012:

When President Barack Obama delivers his third State of the Union Address Tuesday night, it will mark 1,000 days since the Democrat-controlled Senate has passed a traditional budget, and congressional Republicans are trying to make sure anyone who will listen knows it.

"The last time they passed a budget, you had never heard of the iPad," a post on the group's website read, complete with a video hammering the point home. "Tiger Woods was only known for his golfing abilities. General Motors had never declared bankruptcy. You had never heard of Swine Flu. And the national debt was $4 trillion smaller than it is today."
