Would you take Phil LaMarr?

scandalrag: I am going to the Yankees-Rays game tonight. I shall leave now as I must traverse the vast and lonely bridge that separates me from St. Petersburg. I have hired a young native girl, Sacawea, to guide me over the endless flats and the forboding ridge that keeps me from my goal. If I make it, I shall enthrall you with tales of the acres of glorious astroturf and the strange and decrepit denizens of the far reaches of baseball. If I should perish on my journey, please tell my mother that I love her. I must go and meet my lonely fate now.

Sincerely,

Scandalrag

\Seriously, it's a bridge. Even with traffic it takes less than an hour.

LOL another extra innings game for the Jays and Indians.

Rex_Banner: You don't need to know anything about FIP or xFIP to understand why a pitcher shouldn't be measured by win/loss

Because a win/loss has much more to do with the entire team than the pitcher. Yes, there is a mild correlation between them... but its a poor statistic. A good statistic is one that isolates as many non-factors as possible.

I said it last postseason and I'll say it again:

If you can't fill the stadium in the playoffs (it was about 91% full in the ALDS), you don't deserve a team. No exceptions. Fill the place or give the team to a city that will.

So long Buck.

Bottom of the 12th, Blue Jays batted though the line-up in the top of the 12 for 4 runs, Indians have their work cut out for themselves....

I hadn't seen a Fister pulled like that since your mom last night.

Eric Byrnes is DREADFUL in the booth. i like how he criticized one of the giants for not being in shape last year. hey eric: the Snakes paid you ELEVEN MILLION DOLLARS TO GO AWAY. that's how valuable you were. you were DFA with 11MILL left.

multiple miggs cracked me on the game chat: "it's a long season bro, you still got 5-6 more innings left...."

i literally almost ran into him at Pat's Run last year. we were by some kind of VIP area or some shiat, i forget, but it was cordoned off and there was a little passage between these areas, and as i'm stepping trhough he comes out. instantly, i;m like, "holy shiat, eric byrnes!"

and then abotu 5 seconds later Marie Tillman is right behind.

they're both from San Jose, so I figured they must have hooked up somehow.

I can't tell what the hell happened to that ball.

Cabrera with another home run after a review.

There Bobby V goes... left Beckett in one inning too long, imo, and I'm pulling for the Tigers.

That's Eric Byrnes in the booth? I missed the first 5 innings getting food (ever been to Golden Valley on extension and baseline?) and thought that it would be McCarver and Buck so wasn't really in a hurry to get back.

Oh yeah, fark Eric Byrnes

hate seeing Fister pulled. They have a pretty scary rotation and lineup, possibly strongest in the bigs in both. Scary weak pen though.

Can we post our rage about the RIDICULOUS MLB/Fox blackout rules here?

Hey, dumbasses! It's not a "national" broadcast if I can't get it on my local affiliate. Stop blacking out my MLB.tv, if I can't get it via broadcast!

Hell, I'll even pay more.

/ yeah, yeah... proxies, etc, etc but I'm lazy and (reasonably) rule-adhering....
