First off, Balotelli definitely raised the bar when it comes to coontnus. If I was Barton, I'd be worried.

Vicente Guaita is their keeper, a great kid and was almost a United player.
he was incredible last season, and sadly his dad passed away 30 minutes before a match last year.

The difference between the two Manchester sides is that after so much Silverware Sir Alex's teams know to keep calm under pressure. With Citeh it's almost like it got to a point and with only 10 games left in the season they realized "Holy shiate, we might win the Premier League" and then panicked.

When it got to the 2nd half of the season, United showed what Champions do. They picked up their game and started playing at an entirely different level. In their last 11 games they've taken 31 of a possible 33 points. The pressure Man City must've been under is intense. Knowing that they have to win every single game just to keep pace with United.

Snoozefest at St. James' Park right now. NUFC seem to just be missing their flair. These are the games that we need to grind out if we want to be pushing for Europe.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM and back of the net.

Norwich 2 Spurs 0

Hatem Ben Arfa does absolutely nothing all game, only to take the ball in his own half, dribble past 5 defenders and slot it in the back of the net. 1-0 NUFC!

Ooops that should be 2-1 to Norwich

Spurs as it stands are level with Newcastle. My my how the Spurs have bottled this completely yet again. Also Everton opens up a four point lead on Liverpool.

9 goals in 10 appearances for Papiss Demba Cisse. 2-0 Newcastle, level on points with Totham, am I dreaming right now?

Ben Arfa - £5m wasn't it?

Also, we took him on loan first, just to check him out. Don't want to throw your money around!

I hate Alan Pardew with a passion but I really hope Newcastle get fourth. Seeing Chelsea and Spurs out of CL football would be too funny.

Great performance and win for Norwich. Spurs deserved nothing.

Norwich level on points with Liverpool, but the Scousers are ahead by virtue of a better kit deal.

Stoke and Fulham wins would put Liverpool down in tenth. I bet those big players are all itching to come to Liverpool now.

I have stolen the below:

'For bigger clubs sniffing around, Ba has a degenerate knee condition, Ben Arfa has attitude problems, Santon is injury prone, Jonas is just a poor man's Dirk Kuyt, Cabaye likewise just a poor man's Carrick, Tiote gives away free kicks and gets frequently booked, and Cisse is simply having beginner's luck in the PL. Krul doesn't communicate well with defenders, Williamson has no pace, and Coloccini is the wrong age if you have the future in mind. In other words, nothing to see here, move along now (please)'

Had a few nice excusions into the Chelsea area, but just lacking that final ball. It's a very close one so far. I certainly wouldn't count Chelsea out, but if Fulham play their top game, they can play against any team and win (or at least, make them sweat).

chelsea is a different team without Mata, the opportunities are not as frequent.

Typical big team call.

that was a debated-able PK, but super frankie-lampart is the highest scoring midfielder in EPL!

since 2 players attacked Kalou, Bear Grylls had to call something.

No it isn't. The ref butched the call. The only reason ANYONE is saying it's debatable is because it's Chelsea and not Stoke.

There has to be an examination of refs' performence and to see what they call and for which teams. I think we'd find out some VERY interesting stats.

Fulham were the better team in the 1st half and we just can't have that happen. The ref just made sure that it would be "the right score" at the end of the 1st half.

I may be a partisan right now, but that's twice Fulham get fleeced and both times it has been against Man U and Chelsea. I don't think that's a coincidence.

2012-04-09 03:53:17 PM
Right now the color guy is calling it a "brave decision" and saying that in his opinion Murphy doesn't touch the ball. Well...it's not a debatable opinion. He gets the ball. The replays show that 100%. Kalou dives and the ref blows the whistle VERY quickly.

farking disgrace. Again.

2012-04-09 03:58:51 PM
I don't know about that penalty. I think officials ought to exercise a bit more discretion in the penalty area, but I'm not outraged. It's a split second decision, but he made the wrong won.

sigh...

Who is the ESPN color analyst? After spending about 5 minutes setting up a patchwork defence for the Chelsea pen, he defends the Shawn Derry red card an penalty call.

...and we're supposed to believe there's no big team bias? Poor play-by-play guy is stuck defending the underdogs because of his IDIOT partner.

The only thing that made me cringe was the fact that he went in with both feet...but after I saw the replay it was clear he never caught Kalou...all ball.

I dunno about you, but I'm sick of my team's season being hobbled by shiat refs.

Steve McManaman, and he just indicated he thought there was. The ref made the wrong decision but in real time it's a tough call. Again, if the teams are reversed it isn't a penalty.

Kalou tripped over the ball that Murphy stopped with his right foot. Check the replays.

NO they didn't. Kelly didn't even touch him and the Murphy "foul" was iffy at best.
