Man that was nothing but desert when I lived there.

Technically, it's still desert, but soon to be filled with miles of irrigation lines supporting grass and other plantings.

Irrigation lines are pretty darn worthless without water, though.

You have to read between the lines in this one to really see the greased up hands of city hall subtext. Used to be when you bought a politician the sumbiatch stayed bought.

Well, I tell ya, it's gonna be a HECKUVA deal!

I got a prime real estate investment opportunity here, so look it over and just give me the money... I tell you, it's golden! I'll given you interest- one over prime!

There are electronic signs in the south valley on the 202 near Gilbert that I pass every day that keep touting the upcoming arrival of a new dealership.

The only problem is it says that it will be a Cadillac, Hummer and Saab dealership.

I keep meaning to get a picture of it, as it is rather sad and it has been displaying it for the past 2 years. If it was a static sign, I'd understand, but it's one of those full color TV type signs that constantly plays and has ads for the other dealerships that are there and the ads are current.

Well the truth is in Arizona the developers ARE city hall, one look at the growth of Phoenix can show you that. And you can bet that to buy land in that section of Scottsdale, the developer and the mayor have been at each others homes for dinner and to sex up the others wives and children many times.

I think this one was greenlit, as the majority of the images suggest, because it's a nice reference to a classic movie and gives us all time to reminisce about what a great flick that was.
