Tell this asshole to go get it from the lobbies that want to put the internet access on lockdown rather than change their outdated business models.

The sad part is Minnesota frequently runs sensible pragmatic independent candidates (Ventura not withstanding) so I didn't vote for the guy. But I would agree this is awesome.

Although his fundraising efforts are pissing people off because of the shear volume of email.

Al's a Senator I can count on to stand up for all women-whether they're walking a golden retriever in the park, pointing at a chart in an important meeting, or simply staring into the camera.
...
And whether you're a Tattooed Guitar Player, a Guy Wearing Hard Hat, or an Elderly Couple Sitting At Kitchen Table, there's no better way to show your support than by making a contribution today.
...
P.S. As someone who eagerly reads every email I get from Al, I have to be honest: I don't really understand why he's under the impression that adding an "extra ask" in the P.S. of every message is helpful. But I asked my friends Scientist Looking At Line Graph and Doctor With Stethoscope Hanging Around Her Neck, and they both agreed it works. So: Would you click here to make a contribution of $5, $10, or $25 today?

I love that man and I want to have his babies.

Ah, now it goes from 'not all that funny' to 'not funny at all' when you have to analyze your own biases against logic.

yeah, "not all that funny" means "not funny". Sorry but as much as you'd like this letter to be uproarious, it just isn't. It sounds like a below average SNL skit. If it had been a Fark post, I wouldn't even have clicked the funny button. As far as obituaries go, it wasn't bad though.

Wouldn't go so far as to say "bland", compared to regular emails from pols begging for yet another donation this one was a laugh riot.

That noted, "Best EVAR" is probably going a mite overboard as well.

Somewhere in between, in truth.

Aside from his predictable SOPA stance I really, really like the uber policy wonk politician Senator Al has turned out to be.

As someone whose tenuous income depends on people paying for the music and movies they consume, I also sympathize. But I have to face reality: fleetingly encouraging experiments like Louis CK's notwithstanding, I think we are destined for a repeat of the Dark Ages of Entertainment, where artists are mere court jesters and village idiots, itinerant jugglers and fire breathers living off the fattened slob's loose change.

His opponent was the unbelievably amoral partisan doucheguzzling tool Norm Coleman, whose servile self-abasement to the Republican Party's immediate interests over any interests of his state's citizens and his nation resulted in the needless spiteful indecorous vicious delay in Senator Franken taking his indisputably rightful office for his constituents.

NDAA? A tiny toothless showboat clause in an enormous must-pass-or-WTF bill, which the Obama Administration has asserted is exactly the piece of partisan crap it appears to be and f*k you, we're not doing it.

SOPA? No idea. F*ck him

No, I meant his current opponent. Coleman I'm familiar with.
