Gov. Walker,

You are a douchebag, a clinical imbecile and a sock puppet c*nt.

History will wipe it's ass with you.

But you knew that.

StanTheMan: "Women earn 77 cents for every dollar that men make. In Wisconsin, it's 75 cents, according to the Wisconsin Alliance for Women's Health."

OMG, this debunked "77 cents" canard is still being quoted? Yes, women make less. Because they work less hours, and take jobs that pay less to spend more time being moms and wives. But if you adjust for those things, they make exactly the same as men. Women are much more likely to be pediatricians, GP's, and dermatologists than surgeons because the hours are better. But they pay less.

If women really worked for 77% of what men made, who in their right minds would hire men when there is that cheap labor out there?

But thank you for reminding me to donate to Walker's re-election campaign. Can't wait to see these farkhead public employees lose again.

Are you seriously suggesting that women make less money than men because women work six-hour workdays while men work eight hours a day?

And besides, the "debunked canard" says that the pay difference is for the same work -- comparing the average pay for men in any given job to the average pay for women in THE EXACT SAME JOB. Of course a pediatrician or a dermatologist would make less than an open-heart surgeon, just like the girl running the fry machine at McDonald's makes less than the head chef at a five-star restaurant, and the old crone driving the school bus makes less than Dale Jr. or Sebastian Vettel. They didn't compare female skin docs to male heart docs to come up with this figure.

Makes no difference if this was actually something positive, it sounds good and most people prefer an upbeat message.....even if it ultimately does more harm than good. People don't like Negative Neds and Debbie Downers. What this incident proves is that most Republicans are so hate filled, so contemptuous of the 99%, they can't even manage a credible pretense anymore.

This country is headed for a bloodbath.

How many women play golf with Obama the first 23 times he hit the links in 2009? (hint less than 1)
How about his advisers compared to predecessors? (hint even Time magazine ran an article last year about the "boy's only club" Obama leads.)

Unlikely, since the teabaggers don't care how much it costs to stick it to the libs.

And as long as the GOP continues to do exactly that, they needn't worry too much about being on the business end of a "Second Amendment Solution". At least not from the teabaggers, anyway.

Oh, and no matter how you feel about Democrats, I can tell you one thing: We aren't all unified on Obama. He's extended wars, hasn't made a move on Gay Marriage(although he never said he would), and kept Guantanamo open, just to start. I'm a liberal through and through, and I am not happy with the man. I know this is complicated, and I know you're retarded, but you may be able to survive this small leap. Ready?

The 2009 law was passed in order to make it less costly and less difficult for employees who have suffered pay discrimination - all employees, not just women - to seek legal redress with an employer. Pay discrimination occurs when an employer offers lower pay for the same job to different people based on gender, ethnicity, etc, regardless of merit or seniority inre hours worked. What Walker and the Republicans did was rescind this law so it is now significantly more expensive and difficult for someone to seek redress for such pay discrimination.

And you think this is OK because dermatologists don't make as much as heart surgeons? Really?

I must ask you: does being this stupid ever physically hurt? Like, headaches? That kind of thing?

2012-04-06 06:40:45 PM
Ladies, he's making it easier for employers to discriminate against you. Come June 5th you'd better get to the polls, or get your ass to the kitchen, because those are your two options at this point.

2012-04-06 06:41:30 PM
Oh noes1!1! The Koch brothers!!!11!1! AAAAAAAAAA!!!11!01

When punitive and compensatory damages are available for employees to claim in discrimination cases at the state level, there are unpredictable costs to business -- and that leads to less investment and employees in business. Go Walker!

Alright. You'd like some more?

The wage gap remained statistically unchanged in the last year. Women's earnings were 77.4 percent of men's in 2010, compared to 77.0 percent in 2009, according to Census statistics released September 13, 2011 based on the median earnings of all full-time, year-round workers.
