192 pages of click-throughs. FARK YOU, CSM!

Probably not, but then again, I didn't need to take it. I hit the genetic lottery by being born in the US.

ecmoRandomNumbers: 192 pages of click-throughs. FARK YOU, CSM!

Yeah. I made it through question 3 before I gave up.
But isn't that truly the American way?

2012-04-06 02:32:54 PM
I am certain I could pass it, but all the questions would need to be on one page and I wouldn't get graded until the end.

Funny. Mrs. Wawa took the citizenship test for realz last Wednesday.

2012-04-06 02:36:26 PM
I actually sat through it all, got 90%, on the final page the advert changed to "Immigrate to the USA, click here for a green card". I can only assume the subtext is "You're the only person who scored so well, you're better than everyone, even in America, we need you. How would you like to be president?" I didn't click, in case they actually thought I wanted to and am forevermore bombarded with immigration adverts. I went to Romania last week, since I got back about 85% of all the adverts I get are in Romanian, it's so bad that on some pages Google offers to translate it all for me. Sorry, slight tangent... but yes, I accept. I will be your president.

I made it about 40 questions, only missing two, before I figured that was good enough to count.

I'm a true American!

Let me just take this opportunity to say I'm damn glad I was born here

/not that I couldn't pass the test, I just hate having to take them

Okay, first off, that website is shiat. Second off, that test is not that hard.

mitchcumstein1: Okay, first off, that website is shiat. Second off, that test is not that hard.

This and that.

My dad passed the test about 2 years ago, and I don't think he's watched a minute of English-language news ever.

Third, from looking at the URL, it looks like the website is over a year old. I feel like I saw it on Fark before too.

I'm going to extrapolate based on the first 16 questions and say yes.

This should be a requirement for voting!

2012-04-06 03:05:56 PM
As I recall, I already took this and didn't miss many, if any at all.

/Not feelin' like a 96-question test right now, though.

Silly Jesus: This should be a requirement for voting!

No, voting should be a requirement for voting.

19. What is the economic system in the United States?

none of these answers
communist economy
capitalist economy
socialist economy

Sigh. I know what answer they want, but it's wrong.

2012-04-06 03:11:24 PM
Apparently yes. And, trying to look at it from the perspective of a foreigner that had made no effort to study US history before taking the test, probably also yes. Most of that you could get from reading the constitution once and looking up "US government" on wikipedia.

2012-04-06 03:12:08 PM
I'm a Real True American. I'm not clicking through all that shiat - I don't have to. I'm exceptional, dontcha know...

shiat like that quiz is for foreigners, aliens, and lesser people.

2012-04-06 03:12:25 PM
I could only go 16 questions in before that got waaaay too annoying with the slideshow format. Most politics tab farkers should have no problem with that test.

"Who is the Father of our country?

a. Thomas Jefferson
b. George Washington"

Oh, For farks sake. Unless "Father of our country" is a term I'm just not familiar with, wouldn't this be up to interpretation?

fark it, picking Jefferson.

/awaits the people calling me a dumbass for not knowing this.

2012-04-06 03:13:56 PM
Canadian here, took the test while I was doing other things. Scored 91/96. Thanks Schoolhouse Rock!

So, do I get a green card now?

2012-04-06 03:13:57 PM
maybe, maybe not. then again since I was born here I don't need to.

see how that works?

2012-04-06 03:14:11 PM
i took this a few weeks ago (it's a long farking quiz) and got 92.

i wonder how many your average tea party patriot would get right.

It was a semi-official title for Washington, how newspapers described him at the time and how history books tend to reference him after. You could also probably derive that one indirectly from the fact that he was the first president and one of the ideas for a new government was to make him king.

2012-04-06 03:15:59 PM
Uh, I'm up to 17 and haven't missed any yet, so I'm going to forgo clicking a million more times through a frikkin slideshow test and give myself a 100%.

You inspired me to do 4 questions before giving up.

2012-04-06 03:16:29 PM
Stopped after aceing the first 20 questions (just don't have time to go through all of them). Pretty sure I could pass the test. One question in particular sent shivers down my spine.

"Who becomes President if the current President is not able to perform his/her duties?"

I still cannot believe that there was an actual chance that the answer to that question could have been Sarah Palin.

Fark you republicans. Fark you.

"what is the economic system in the United States?

a.None of These
b.Communist
c.Capitalist
d.Socialist"

If this is how the actual test is written... Christ. Now I'm just deliberately picking "wrong answers".

2012-04-06 03:17:57 PM
Can someone post all 96 questions? There is no way I'm clicking through that.

I missed two.

How many Amendments are there currently, and when was the Constitution signed.

2012-04-06 03:19:26 PM
Easily - 94 of 96.

I missed 16 (I answered Harry Truman, answer was Franklin Roosevelt) and 63 (I answered John Adams, answer was James Madison), both just memory gaffes.

Taking that damned thing was a lesson in tedium, however, as you get two page loads (before and after you answer a question) and the pages load slooooooowly.

I figured this was the case, but I still think it's a poor question. I don't think considering Jefferson to be the "Father of our Country" is an invalid answer. =/

The radical Kenyan mooslum socialist usurper Bataxus O'Fartbummer is a:

A) Crony capitalist Green warmer alarmist
B) Gun-grabbing Constitution-stomping Marxist
C) Puppy-punching Arugula munching Demoncrat
D) All of the above

/trick question: the answer is E) Black

I made it to about question 49 before the page stopped wanting to load. I missed one.

Got 10 of the first 10 right then got bored.

I`m 32 for 35 so far. I will not click anymore. I`ll stay in Canada thanks.

I got 91/96. Stupid hidden "all of the above" option. And I was pretty sure that one of the reasons people came here was for "the experience of crossing the ocean" rather than freedom.

I should give this to my 10-year-old and see how she does.

2012-04-06 03:27:42 PM
The one I missed was the one about when you have to register for the draft, by the way.
